So I'm a bit confused... 2020, my manual still says the drive shaft needs to be lubricated. Unfortunately for my drive shaft (4wd by the way), it has no zerks, unlike my 2015 which still had 5.

So did the manual just not get updated, or am I missing something obvious?

I just did (again!). I still can't find them, and it's not like I don't know where they used to be. If they're still there somewhere they're invisible to me, and the front is easy to check since you can just spin it by hand.

Sorry, this is a 2020 by the way. If they removed them all in '18 that would explain it, but again, the manual still mentions it, which is why I'm here asking...

My '19 still has them on the front.. they're hiding in the middle of the joint, not out on the cups.. maybe the '20s are all sealed?
    Dunno

Edit: stick your finger in there and wiggle it around. You'll feel the nub eventually. :D

Well, @heffergm, I am with you and do not think the 2020s have grease zerks... I sure do not see them anywhere on the driveshafts of my 2020. I have had other Tacomas and am familiar with greasing the zerks and do not see any.

If any of you find zerks on 2020 driveshafts, please post pictures and include your model because I sure do not see them and would like to know for sure.

    Echoing this.
I went under the truck Monday, couldn't find anything.
Came out, read the manual, saw what you OP references, went back under. Couldn't find anything.
Pulled up a separate post in this forum, went back under. Still didn't find anything.
Fair to say I didn't trust myself very much. I concur, the 2020's appear to be fully sealed driveshafts at all unions.

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
Same here. Checked again over the weekend and neither drive shaft has greasable ones. They all appeared to be Spicer non-greasable joints; manual still mentions this as a maintenance point.

The OEM Spicer non greasable u-joints in my XJ Cherokee lasted 150k+ miles, I just replaced all 7 of them as preventative maintenance to hopefully last another 20 years. Only 1 cap on one of the 7 u-joints was dry on grease.

I say moving to the sealed units is a win, the non-greasable joints are stronger, and it's one less thing for the average home mechanic /dealership to forget to do.
