Basically nothing. I also added TGT on Tuesday. And FRT last week when we talked about it being low 80’s, and IRM because it was yielding 10 and I was bored. But yea, not much. Like you, I’m not quite sold on these prices right now. It’s been a pretty uneventful few weeks for me. I haven’t added to AAPL in a bit, I’m not sure I can pull the trigger on that right now.

I’ve heard it’s fine when it’s not crashing. But I think it’s pretty simple to use if you are just starting and not investing large amounts. If you get more serious you’ll probably move to something else.

I'm not super serious about investing and use it, no where near the level of these other guys it seems. Works great for what I do. You can do all of the "fancy" trades and orders on it and it's nice to easily link bank accounts and have instant funds before the transfer goes through. If you're more likely to use your phone instead of a desktop I think it's a great free option.

PM me for my referral code so we both get free stocks ;)

I am in AAPL with about a $220 average, so I don't like adding at $350. What if it goes to $450 though, I don't want to miss out for that reason. If it goes to $200 ever again for any reason, I'll be selling things to buy more of it.

Thats a great advice. It could give me insight from the seasoned investors/traders here. It could save my butt from losses or it could get some of us extra Donuts.

My average is a little lower, but I didn’t add after it reached 260 last fall I guess, and then bought some in April when it was 250, so I haven’t ever bought for over 260. I don’t know why. It likely won’t get cheaper like I feel others might.

I'm also pretty sure that the owners of RH are using user purchase data to short stocks...just what I think...
Oh and I use TD ameritrade...I've had maybe 3 connection issues of note in 8 years (since they were scottrade) Since all trading is free now on most platforms (except for OTC/Pink sheets) it's a better choice to go with TD over RH based on "Adultness" of the platform :)

@Boyk1182 thought on VZ right now? I’m considering adding to it, ex div date is coming up so might as well get in before that if I’m buying anyway. I don’t know what kind of growth is upcoming, but I like I didn’t have to worry about them during this weird market. I haven’t added much in the last few months as other things were discounted more.

I have owned it for about 2 years. I am down about 6% overall, but that fluctuates and usually stays around the even mark. I will keep buying for the safe 4%+ yield. People won't stop paying the cell phone bills, probably ever.

Yea, I don’t need the growth with the div solid. I don’t need volatility

VZ is way more than that. You’ve got internet services land lines business services, entertainment etc.

There’s some rocky parts in there like the entertainment sector stuff. I think it’s a safe and good buy but would definitely have it diversified maybe do equal parts vz t. If you’re after principal gains then add in S and you’ve rounded out the sector but S doesn’t do dividends.

I have T also, and every week you see more and more about how the dividend should be cut. They aren’t in very good financial shape. They over extended. But I’ll wait to get out until they actually cut the dividend. Verizon isn’t exciting, but they have stayed close to a base business that has fewer risks

Usually IPOs go up for a short while then dip back down to an accurate valuation once all the hype dies. Can be an okay move if you get in early and sell quick, sometimes even later in the day of the IPO is even too late to get in. Usually the safe move is to give IPOs a little time to either level out/drop, or if they don't, then you didn't miss much and they'll likely keep going up. In my opinion we might see a lot of tech IPOs now because of everyone realizing how plausible work from home can be but they'll probably also all be good opportunities to get trapped if you're not patient or not quick enough to make your move. LMND for example looks like it took off way to quick to be steady where it's at, give it a week or two and there will probably be a good dip to buy in or heavy volatility at the least

Exactly, either they priced it horribly, or people jump on the ipo run up and they’ll be taking profits. After a little time we will know the answer.

Well, here's an interesting thing that I'm willing to here some ideas on.

As some of you know I write a weekly covered call on NVDA. On Monday I wrote a single weekly covered call for July 2 $385. The premium I received was $129 for the contract. At the time NVDA was trading at $360. My goal is to keep these shares and use them to generate income in my retirement account. An extra $100 to $130 a week is a lot of cash at the end of the year.

They did what they always do and trended up all week. Today they traded at $386-$389 almost all day. I thought for sure I would get assigned. Then the last hour they sold off. At market close they where at $384.49. Sweet. I keep my shares.

Not so fast. During after-market they added .51 pennies. That puts them at EXACTLY $385.00. Some of you know that if an option is .01 in the money they are automatically exercised. Well, that's my dilemma. They closed at exactly the strike price. There is zero intrinsic value in that contract. So, I have no clue if I'll get assigned or not. I won't know for sure until Saturday. That's the day that options contracts get closed.

I picked up the shares for $290 so I'll make a good chunk if I get assigned. I'd rather not though. It's a coin toss as far as I can tell.

    Any ideas?
