    this is very cool

if i had to throw a number though... its tricky, dont know any of the details you have into it... the legality part tells me no more than 2k, but if it was fully legally maybe around 3500-4k asking price

just throwing blind numbers out

 I’d keep it at that rate! Just needs a horn and mirrors to be legal. Mirrors don’t even have to be functional lol, Johnny law doesn’t care if all you see is your elbow. And for the horn it doesn’t have to be hardwired. Could literally strap a $10 air horn can from Walmart to one of the handle bars.

yea I understand, I was really just gauging by what I see around my local area for sale on the craigslist in cafe style type of bikes

but I do also think bikes fetch more in the PNW than here in the NE so that is something else to consider

Cafe bikes took a huge hit in the last three or four years as they've kind of gone out of style for scramblers, IMHO. In Eastern WA I'd say that's going for no more than 2,500 if you're lucky.. Stock forks, ebay shocks and muffler, low CC's overall.

A few suggestions to up the value some, at least visually: polish the cases or paint the whole engine, polish or paint the tank, paint forks and triple tree, paint the kick starter.

That being said, I'd ride the shit out of that if it were mine haha looks like a fun little ripper.

I kinda like the ratty look. Not going to make it Look polished. It’s a rider, not a show bike and painting the engine is gonna look good only for a day lol. Add fuel drippings (from taking off carbs / tank) and paint on the cooling fins fucks with the thermal efficiency.
Forks look stock but have racetech gold valve emulators, new springs and a DYI brace. Rear shocks are eBay but I completely rebuilt them and the RYF shocks are actually great quality, just poorly tuned which I remedied. Plus the steering damper, roller bearings in the stem and brass swingarm bushings this bike handles 100% better than stock. Also has custom rear sets adopted from a cb400f that look Period correct and are in the perfect spot. Not so stupid far back that all your weight goes on your wrists and you can’t stand up anymore or lose passenger pegs. Muffler is OEM from my YZ450 and I added a lollipop before it. Sounds and rides great. Will do the ton every time. I rebuilt the motor too but rings probably haven’t even fully set yet.

damn, I guess I’ll list it for 10grand. Perfectly happy if it doesn’t sell and of course also perfectly happy if it does

Sounds like you've done some nice work to it . I get it, I'm a big believer of doing bikes that tickle your fancy (my CB has RYF shocks too ;) ). But that's the rub with custom bikes and mods, it'll be hard to find someone with the exact same tastes as you and value everything you've done to it.

Post up a pic of yours! Too bad you’re pretty far. I’m in Tracyton (Olympic peninsula) and have no riding buddies local to me!

This whole buying a house thing takes a lot of money! Just paid $450 for a home inspection. Do you know how many parts for the grom I could have bought with that money!?:spending:

Home inspections are kinda a huge waste unless you plan to leverage findings to renegotiate the purchase price. $450 would be cheap in my area tho

I disagree. Houses are a huge purchase and I don’t have the time to crawl in attics and crawl spaces to see if there are any issues. Cheap peace of mind in the the grand scheme of things.

Agreed. $350 inspection saved me from a crumbling foundation inside the crawl space, improper block and post's in the middle of the house, and an outdoor electrical panel that had improper flashing above it/was completely rusted out a few years back.
