This is what I'm noticing. The way I found out what could be my problem was a fluke, too. I was searching for some possible causes of the interference and one out the many sites I went to mentioned it as a problem. Definite light bulb moment.

I've also heard what Randy said about the 9-foot increments. I'm hoping this isn't true because when I trim mine down it'll be about six or seven feet of cable. Guess there's only one way to find out!

 

Depends what band you're running in on the 9 feet. That length just happens to be 1/4 wavelength of the 11m (CB) band. I wouldn't expect that to be a hard number if you moved to HAM or GMRS, etc.

 

It's GMRS, so that's promising.

I second this @08TRDOFFROAD They even came out with a blue ones recently if that's your style. Look for the low-pro long reach for maximum height.
I got mine like $50 off with coupon while back.

 

Thirded. 3T LRLR model comes to $139 or $169 as I remember with a coupon.

 

I just got my Big Red Torin Jack stands in yesterday too. I'm set to drop the oil pan on my wife's 03 Corolla this weekend possibly.

Not SUPER happy with the side tubes but it is what it is. Took me 3 hours and 6 attempts to get them notched right. I had to scrap $50 of tubing. Head on it looks like a fish with some wise ass gills or something. I did manage to level out the top though for @PyritePirateBill

 

Needs fogs before I can judge. That & for B to paint it
