Meh, it’s alright. Free vert is always fun, but it’s not one of the better parks.

Yeah that’s what loamwolf said in their review. Free pass so I’ll try it out!

Anyone ridden a guerrilla gravity Trail Pistol?

Should I roll full face helmet or is that overkill if I’m not sending full speed?

Very slim chance. But I’m heading to skypark tomorrow morning in SoCal. However, broke my dr hanger today for my nomad 3. Anyone happen to have one that may be up there tomorrow that they’re willing to sell? I’m gonna check the bike shop up there also. But just asking around in case.

Think any Santa Cruz 12x142 works

I've always been able to get a new DR hanger from my frame manufacturer shipped free just by emailing their customer service/support.

I’m headed to Trestle Bike Park tomorrow and I got a full face helmet yesterday. I purchased the TLD stage helmet because it is still dh certified but it’s light enough for use on some days in the saddle. I also got it for a screaming deal because it was last years model.

I always rock a full face when I ride bike parks. Its not needed at Bachelor. If you like jumps, Redline which they opened last year is a ton of fun. Has a Whistler feel to it. The Black Diamond trails are actually some of the smoothest trails there as they get ridden less. Fun place to go ride especially with a free lift ticket.

I have a good friend who loves his. But, he just upgraded to an Occam and likes that better. He did have the old one though, before the new carbon model.

Not really needed, but I roll with my FF (TLD D4) whenever I'm riding lifts. Always good to have the extra protection. I have a TLD Stage also, which I'll wear on pedal days too if I'm hitting something gnarly and the weather's a little cooler.

    Well fuck.

I knew I should have taken my bike to the bike shop after North Carolina.

got up to ride today after 2 weeks of rain and my shifter is broken. The retainer clip or something inside my SX shifter is snapped. So I fought with it about an hour in the scorching heat and was like fuckkkkkk I’m taking it to the shop. Thankfully they took a look at it and said it’s f’d.

so they are warrantying my SX shifter for me, but going to order me an NX shifter to upgrade and I’ll have the new SX as a backup. 42$ not too bad I feel. They’ll do it all for free just parts cost and go ahead and service the bike and stuff.

    problem....bike down for 2 weeks...

Ironically, the GX and NX shifter are the same price. Is it their shop workload that is taking so long? If its the parts I'd say to order it online and bring it in to them. They make next to nothing on parts and I don't think they would be offended but 2 weeks is a long damn time to be out of the game for a shifter that I can have on my doorstep on Monday.

It’s their workload. 2 weeks is worst case.

replacing the shifter is pretty easy if you know your way around a bike. should take maybe 10 to 20 minutes. You can also replace the shifter cable as well.

I would do it but they’re doing all the warranty stuff for me on the old one and free labor and such lol. They were nice enough to take a look at mine this morning with no call ahead so I’d feel bad not having them do it.

I'd hope they would put you in front of the customers bringing in clapped out bikes from 1990 since you bought a new bike from them.

Well most people in town seem to have bought from them haha. He had the NX shifter on order before I walked away from the desk, and he’s gonna handle the warranty on the SX one. Like I said 2 weeks is worst case, but last time I took it in for its first service after buying the bike they did it in 1 day for me.

Anyone having an issue with the Trek Challenge on Strava not accepting their rides? Have a few rides in now and that challenge specifically wont accept any of them.

I just want a trek mug darn it!
