Nope, they still only put a wimpy coat of paint on the undercarriage, so Taco's still have a tendency to rust.

Personally, I wouldn't Ziebart the undercarriage. When I got my truck I thought about doing it, then spent hours researching and reading stuff about undercoating. In the end, I realized that they can't realistically get to every nook and cranny under there and with undercoating, the rust can't be seen until it gets really bad. Plus, the undercoating can be porous and allow moisture to accumulate between the undercoating and metal, which would make it rust even faster. Not undercoating it will make it easy to see where its rusting and allow you to fix the problem before it gets bad.

I would get the undercoating from the get go.
My 06 has none (we have no ziebart). I wish I went with the waxoyl or something, mine looks pretty bad underneath.
Your choice....most in the salty regions up North get it done & have seen them talk about here. Maybe someone will chime in.

I live in Cleveland Ohio, tons of salt in the winter.

I would NEVER get undercoating!!! In fact most people don't get it any more, which is why Zebart is one of the last, possibley THE last company to do it. My folks always had it doen on vehicles...what a mess, forever. That crap never dryed and was "tar-y" in the summer, really mess everytime you get under the vehilce. And it makes the metal rust faster! it traps moister inbetween it and the metal.

The best stuff out there is PUR 15 (i think that's how it's spelled. Just used that on the steel gerters for my cousins bridge (driveway has a 30' span over a creek) Good stuff!!!
