Key Fob question

Hello I have a Tacoma 2020 SR and it does not have a key fob. It does however have power lock and unlock buttons on the door.
what is the best least expensive method to convert this into a keyless entry truck so I can just have the unlock/lock feature on a key fob.

Install a remote keyless entry system. I like to stick with something made by DEI if possible. Possibly there could be some plug and play harness kits out there for Tacoma’s if you search. Otherwise, it depends how comfortable you are with wiring. DIY is cheapest. If not, there are plenty of car audio shops who will sell these with installation included for under $200.

 

I'd get a plug&play remote start from @N2DesignsInc (assuming you'll use it). The extra fobs will lock/unlock your doors.

- 100 percent plug n play. NO TPMS to cut into on this vehicle model (unlike the HKEY AT/MT).
- Engine does not shut off when door is opened. You can unlock the car after remote start, put the key in to the ignition, turn the key 2-clicks, tap the brake pedal once and drive off.
- You get two fobs, each once has 4-buttons (Lock/Unlock/Start Engine/Stop Engine).
- The range is half a mile
- The fobs have two-way feedback meaning an LED indicator if the button pressed made it to the vehicle or not. If the vehicle heard you, you'll see a green LED flicker, if it did not, a red LED flicker with a respective audible sound that is distinct for successful or not successful button press.

Lastly, dealerships (including Toyota) put our kits on their sales fleet when requested by a customer post sale or to close a sale. Post sale, you're looking at $1200 at the dealership for our stuff installed that you can EASILY install yourself.

I just installed the N2 keyless entry with remote start yesterday. Easy to do all plug and play. Jimmy from N2 provides the best customer service. He called me and walked me through setting the fobs up. I could not be happier!
