This is how I have it wired (dash switch off dome dims dash switch ON no fade dome)

edit: DSIM is connected to green

I do not mind the dome not fading - however I would like some conformation that the DSIM is operating properly and not causing any back feed/bad ground issues that could cause other problems.

I did try a diode on the ground from the DSIM with no change in behavior to the instant off issue of the dome lights. What I didnt do is test a diode inline with the "+" or "-" going to the DSIM relay. This would involve cutting into the lines to test. I would rather here some feedback from the maker of the DSIM beforehand.

glad you tried this - did you try a diode on the power out (yellow) on the DSIM?

He told me it did not need one since the module already has them... but it might be worth ruling it out.

“Two diodes to prevent back flow and one to prevent cross wiring the capacitor on board and blowing it.”

Excuse my laziness, is there a diagram in this thread for this to work with an SPOD Bantam on a second gen 2013 trd sport?

I've ordered the fader that seems to be popular for my puddle lights. When I go to wire it in I'm going to do a but more testing with a diode.

@dustxking seems like @DSIM has been MIA for a while, likely why it's out of stock. I'm looking to get one too!

i think. v3 requires splicing into your factory wiring or something. forgot. i got the v4 and still have the v3 uninstalled. not into splicing.. he'll be back from vacation soon.

Back from much needed vacation. Brother got married in the Tetons. Stayed longer and rented a sweet T4R, hit 8 national parks total, camped 7 nights, wheeled, hiked a 20 mile out and back in the tetons, the works. Anyways... vacation over, back to business.

@DSIM A few of our dome lights DO NOT fade after installing the module (a few posts back) is that the expected behavior?

Having some troubles with mine. Lights are all wired up to my bluesea system with a relay. I pluged in the DSIM v4 and it clicks but everytime i try and put the yellow wire to a positive on the rock lights, nothing happens?
