So I'm a Costco guy, and current the best choice for tires for my 2014 with 16" wheels (245/75r16) is the Bridgestone Revo 3 or the Michelin LTX M/S 2.

Mostly highway driving, some gravel/offroad. 6 months of icy, snowy, shitty winter roads. Most people around here use studs/winter tires but I manage to get by with All seasons and 4wd.

Anyone have experience with both? I'm leaning towards the M/S 2, they are supposedly very good on ice.

For sure get those Michelins. I haven’t had those exact Bridgestones but I haven’t had a particularly good experience with any of their flavors. Any Michelins have been excellent comparatively

I had a few Bridgestones on my cars over the years they usually barely make it to the wearout mileage, where as the Michelins cruise right on by the wearout mileage and make the truck handle like a Caddy onroad any weather conditions, my observations

I finally got a used set of rims for winter driving, and went with the Costco Michelin Latitude X-Ice for the winters here. Outstanding traction. I hardly had to use 4WD all winter. The all seasons get too scary for me on ice after they wear down a bit.

Yea you definatly have to watch it and be careful with all seasons. My Michelian AT2s have been pretty great in the winter...stopping on ice is the only thing they aren't that good at. Need studs for that. But I manage.

Did a few winters with some TA KO2s as well, they are similar. I was told the newer Michilan Defender MS2 better on the ice than the AT2s.

Whatever you go with, the Michelins will outlast Bridgestone's. I wait for the $110 off deals at Costco. Even though their tire shops can be a PITA to deal with at times, they got the deals.

Oops I should clarifiy, I got the name of the Michelin wrong. The 'new' name of this tire is the Defender LTX M/S. Not the M/S2. That and the AT2 have been retired. This seems to be the one AT tire they make for Tacoma-ish type vehicals.

I had the revo2's years ago on a Jeep. They were pretty good at everything till they wore down to 50%, then they were trash in any condition. I ended up going with the Michelins you first posted. I hated the style, just a friend swore that I'd like them, and he was right. If I lived back up in Colorado, I'd only run Michelins.
