Great minds and all that. We’re doing a similar thought. While my wife and i are driving around The world for the next few years we are keeping one fob (our truck doesn’t have push to start since it’s a manual) hidden in the truck with the other one on us. In our wallets we Both keep a simple blade key which will open the door but not start the truck. This way if someone steals our keys or, more likely, I lose them, we use our blade key to get into the truck and use the hidden fob to drive away. Then order another fob while we continue our travels. Really don’t want to be stuck somewhere waiting for DHL

Me too but it will probably be early November before it starts to cool down here so I'll have to pick a relatively cool morning and just do it.

It was not me who swapped the taillights. Ask @44-16 Taco

I was answering to your question about what he did to his truck. But I have no idea what he did with his original taillights.

Messed with the shims in my shift knob and promptly lost one lol.

BUT, it’s tight and pretty spot on now. So it all worked out in the end.

If the borders weren't closed I would invite you.
Probably slightly cooler here right now but not by much.

Some of you may recall my 2016 Taco that was smacked up by a box truck. It ended up being written off. I took possession last night of a brand new 2020 TRD Sport Premium 6MT! I missed my old one until I drove this one. Nice leather, larger screen, Power sliding rear window and many other updates over my old one! :taco:

I spent 4 1/2 hours total today hand washing with Dawn Dish-washing soap with bucket and rag and applying a coat of Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax. I do the door jambs too. Applied with good lather over the new 2 week old Vinyl replacement stickers which are matte black. No issues yet anyway. Waxing a vehicle doesn't get much easier than this as it applies easy and wipes dry easily.

Finally got around to making my fishing rod holders a little better. Im going to add a 2 foot by 4 foot cargo basket to the other side. I originally made these cross bars to hold my kayak and fishing rods, but my kayak is just a tad too long to sit on the bars, so Im ordering a roof mounted kayak rack for my factory roof rack.

I can have my tailgate up, rods secure and safe from things rolling over them, and still keep things in the bed.

Big rod is for normal fishing, I got the smaller one for my daughter to use if she wants to fish (son already has a rod), but i'll end up using the smaller one more than she will.
