TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Heh...one of my neighbors drives like that and I don’t think she realizes it. She’s tailgated me within inches of my bumper while I was 15 over the speed limit. I’ve seen her do 80 through a school zone too but whatever.

I just let the tailgaters go around me so they can go tailgate someone else.

 

I normally like to get the left side caster a half degree lower than the right to compensate for road crown, but after about 20 minutes of camber/caster play I decided to call it good. To my delight it tracks perfect with only 0.1 lower. I don’t recall if the rear axle has always had negative camber that’s the first time I noticed it on this truck.

 

I can relate but, with all due respect, I'm not sure I see what's special about a Ram or a Hellcat...

True, though my "Mustang" rolled off Ford's Flatrock Assembly Line as a Shelby GT500 that now sports 733 RWHP and 713 RWTQ (i.e., Demon-class power) with a lot less GVW.
I know you don't care for GM either, but the Shelby's younger, lighter stablemate is a C7Z that's no slouch either.

I'm just not a Dodge fan.

 

I’m waiting for the Fiat 500 hellcat. Perfectly balanced and lightweight.

 

I was a fan of GM first, and then they let me down consecutively, so never again with that garbage, then I was a fan of Ford, for a quick split second then yet again, see how they are built time after time again, and Dodge has always been last on my list.

I will say this. All 3 sure know how to design a hell of a vehicle. They all look incredible in their own respect and I would be more than thrilled to drive any of them any day of the week.

Also, if anyone is capable of designing a vehicle which can withstand the test of time, it is all 3 of them. They all have the longest standing vehicle lineage here in America, they know vehicles and they know them well. They just choose not to or subcontract their parts designs out to the lowest bidder (ie China) using the cheapest and inferior of plastics and metals so they can nickel and dime you to death on their broken parts after to the point where you get sick of the vehicle and just sell it.

It's frustrating because I want to like them. Every ounce in me wants to, but I know too much at this point to do otherwise. Best to rent them and admire from afar I suppose.

The engine assembly weighs more than the whole car.

 

i used to be a big fan of dodge/mopar. i honestly think the detuned hellcat motor in a ram is weak and late to the party. id much rather have a 700hp+ shelby f-150.

 

If i had the money id buy a turbo 'busa powered smart car from those wild aussie's.
400hp in an 800lb car. Sure, its about as safe as being towed in a shopping cart at freeway speeds but sounds like a rush.

 

Mid engine for perfect weight distribution

You want a rush, put a 600cc or liter bike engine onto a go kart frame. What bigger rush than going that fast with your balls an inch off the ground?

 

Holy crap what a day. I am exhausted. Rear GX 460 disc brakes in, rear D60 on, tundra master and brake booster in.

 

That's hot man. I like a lot.

not much yet, no rear drive shaft. The driveline stores are closed today but more to follow once I get it fully connected

 

Did you install the BAMF shackles in unison with the brake kit or has it been in a while? I want to do them so bad but I really just don't have the energy to punch out 8 stinkin' rivets on the rear of the truck.

 

I already had a shackle flip so it was just a bolt in. I cheated. I put on deavers expo stage III and the BAMF hangers with the d60 and discs all around. I know, I know, one change at a time. Back me up here @nudavinci64. Time is money and I am running out of both!
