According to mountin hatch they are the same size but I still feel like I should double check. This is a second gens measurements. I rounded up on it.

I need good internet. I wouldnt be able to work from home like I currently am with my office shut down. I'm still working on figuring out how to get them to let me stay home once the office opens back up.

That'll work well. My buddy is a carpenter and carries all his tools in it, does the job nicely.

So if I understand this this thing.. it's weather tight and can't be opened with the tailgate up/locked and you can carry stuff on top of it as well.. anyone know the weight rating on the top part? Actually considering this for FD related stuff.

Correct. I believe it's rated to 53,000lbs. It's pretty heavy duty, my buddy carries his DeWalt table and 12" chop saw on his with a myriad of other tool goodness with no problems.

Once I double check it against my tailgate insert and verify its the same. I'll do it later when its not so hot. My trucks in the sun right now.
Its mostly weather proof in their own words. You are correct that it can not be opened with the tailgate closed and locked. It also has locks on the drawers. Top part weight rating its like 2k lbs.

i thought about getting one as well. The 4:1 just doesn’t have the room.

looks good. Did you mod it from the start?

Heres what they said in my thread when I was talking about it some.
FYI my leaking issues were gallons of water in both of the plano boxes on my roof rack.

Ya I’m not too worried about battery. That amount will last me until I go to bed. I’m sitting next to the grill cooking some chicken boobies for the family right now. :)

That would be a time I wouldnt care about internet speed. Though to be able to work from a cabin would be pretty awesome.
