2019 SR 2.7 Access Cab 4x4 (sold to Carvana!)
    MSRP w/destination will be $28,440
There is a $1,500 cash rebate until 7/06/2020 (better hurry!) that will bring it to $26,940

Without a trade you should be right around $25k

Give it a shot, what do you have to lose?

My MSRP was over $30,000 (wasn't a utility packaged truck) and it went for $25,536 in 2019.

2020 and 2019 SRs have the same MSRPs and there wasn't a $1,500 cash rebate when I bought mine (it was $1,000) so yeah, $25k or real close should work.

Enjoy. The only thing I did not like about my Utility Package was the missing Intermittent wipers. Otherwise, the utility Pckg Access Cab is my favorite new Tacoma. Factory 2 seater, factory de-badge, Factory Black out kit, solid rear window, extra room behind the seats. It's as close to the stripped out Regular Cab you can find since they dropped the Reg cab with this generation.

Got my 20 sr 4cyl 4x4 access cab back in march. $27,500 out the door. It has NO Utility package, so the bumpers and trim are color matched. Convenience package and 5"oval steps were add ons - took off the steps. It came with intermittent wipers. convenience package adds keyless entry. I also needed jump seats so that made the utility package a no go for me. I could have made a dozen deals on a 4x4 utility package for under 25k out the door, but getting a convenience package SR was hard to find anything under 28k before tax and tags. I really tried for 3 months to get a better deal but I was not successful. 27,500 was the best I could swing out the door. I also had to settle on a black one -- which I really didnt want black, but that's what I got for the price. I could have saved another $500 on the step tubes if I argued enough. But this was right when things were shutting down and I didn't want to hassle or be at the dealership any longer than necessary. I spent another $1600 on some additional lighting, small functional mods, small aesthetic mods, wheels and tires. Hopefully I can sell some of the brand new take off stuff to get a few bucks back. I have 3 Tacoma's and this little truck is really nice. No frills, basic truck, gets ok mileage, and suits my needs . Hard to swing a functional 4x4 for under 30k nowadays 20200626_190310.jpg 20200702_172332.jpg

Buying used..... FWIW, true story, my best friend has had some form of tacoma for over 25 years. His last taco had a tree fall on it with 19 miles -- it was less than a day old. Homeowners actually covered it and it had to be fixed -- they didn't total it. Had it back 2 weeks later hit a deer. 3 months later hit another deer. The final straw was when he backed into a utility pole minor damage to the fender flare. He traded it in when he smelled mold-- apparantly or was leaking into the headliner but no visible water. 25k miles on it. It loomed looked nice, but that truck had bad juju.

My son came home from the air force and wanted to buy a used one -- I told him this exact story -- said your going to save $5k and buy a problem. Just get a new one

Much appreciated. Thanks. For me the simplicity of the sr is where it's at. Guess I'll have to get some sort of mud flaps to deter salt and road grime from accumulating on black paint.

I have them on mine and the running boards. The boards are more to prevent parking lot dings than anything but I like the look of em on mine. Even with it being the entry level, low end or whatever you want to call it, it's a great truck and I am much happier with the pricing than would of been with some other models. I guess I am old and cheap but it's hard for me to pay more for a truck than I did for my first house, even if it's 40 years later.

Back when I was hunting in January/February I was getting otd pricing quotes on 4cyl 4x4 utility package slightly under 25k. I must have gotten about 10-12 different dealerships to come in at about the same price. Right around 24,500 some more some less. I would have jumped on one, but It wasn't feasible to grab one and then try and buy all the parts i needed to add jump seats and all the trim. Not sure what the market looks like right now, but I'm sure you could walk one off the lot for around that price, utility package isnt really the most popular model. I never priced out 4 doors either.

I hear you. I'm old and cheap too. Plus this entry level pickup has just about everything anyone could want out of a daily driver. I don't go hardcore offroad. I didnt need an e locker or some of the other features available in higher trim packages. I was surprised it had power windows. My 96 and my 02 both have crank windows. Theres a lot of technology packed into this base model. I can check the tire pressure from an app on my phone.
