Yes! That's how I got my second 22, free on the side of the road. Swapped some grates around and now use both regularly. The freebie has a shallower bowl which makes for better high heat cooks

    Congrats!

Have any of you guys built a table for your kettle? I'm thinking of kind of building mine into the carport area to give me some nice prep space.

Similar to the green egg ones you see all the time or like this kit on Home Depot:

I'm sitting here putting some finishing touches on my rough draft. Hopefully it will fit in temporarily with the gas grill under my disintegrating gazebo.

Made room for the charcoal container, three bins of wood chunks, the chimney, utensil storage behind both doors, two drawers, and maybe some gourmet inserts hanging on the outside wall next to the grill. Did I miss any tricks?

Nope that pretty much covers it lol

If I build one it won't be nearly that fancy...my biggest concern is mounting the grill and the heat. But I kind of like the way you have it because you could keep a small gap

Ya that doesn’t sound good. Can’t have a smoker that doesn’t produce smoke. Hopefully you just have a faulty controller and they will swap it out. If not I can totally understand where you’re coming from on selling both.

    Last update for the Lockhart.

    On smoke setting
Temperature in the cabinet dropped down to 115 since the last update.

The Pro1100 settled at 130 and stabilized.

If you want to replace your gas grill, this is NOT the grill for you.

If you want an outdoor oven, go buy an oven and put it outside.

If you want low smoke outputs at lower temps in the upper cabinet, this is not the smoker for you.

In conclusion, if you need a 250lb boat anchor, this is what you need.

    ---
At least the.... never mind, this thing is a pile of crap.

    Fuck you Pitboss

Got a base of Royal Oak (One chimney full) with a oak log, a chunk of cherry and few small pieces of mesquite in there. The top probes are about 100 degrees apart. I don’t have a water pan in there blocking off the heat from the fire box though. That ought to even it out a little more.

Going to have to seal the door on this one. Unless the metal moves a little on the burn in and seals better.
