@RedlineTuning With the increased hood opening height, how much harder is it to reach the hood in order to close it? I'm 5'10", so I don't know if it'll be an issue, but might be for some others. Is there a recommended minimum height for the operator?

Why do you need it so high? you installing a new engine everytime you open the hood? Lol
And I agree. I have the other struts and they work perfect.

This is the hood struts all the way up with the ditch lights, still good clearance from the windshield

im 5’10 and can still reach the hood to close it. You might grab the edge of the hood every now and then to get a better grip on it but it’s not an issue to close

I'm 6' and have the @SpikerEng struts at +6" height. With the stock 1" lift, the hood is at the end of my reach in the middle, but the sides are easily usable.

We developed the Max Lift system after receiving requests from our customers for more clearance. The nice thing is customers can chose whether they want the stock height with our standard QuickLIFT or the extra 7 inches with the Max Lift.

the extra clearance is extremely convenient when running wires through your firewall and if you have wires going from once side of the truck to another that you would normally run along the factory wire harnesses in the engine bay, it’s gives you much better access and room to work ... this might not be for everyone and they do have struts that lift the hood to the factory height but if you are doing a lot of work in the engine bay then this is highly recommended and just makes it a bit easier to reach around

I love my Redline struts. Not sure I get the need for more lift, but hey the other guys do it so why not :D

Installation is exactly the same as our standard height QuickLIFT system shown here with unique measurements to accommodate the longer gas spring.

Lol I thought this was building up into a group buy. I think maybe 25-30 might stop staring at the blue pro taco, jump the fence and buy some Redline’s

Why buy something that requires drilling holes in your sheet metal?

I had Redlines for years on my Mustang and were great, no issues ever. I just put on a set of the Spicker Ultimate set about 5 inches over stock, with being lifted 2 in in the front and 6 feet tall I have no issues closing the hood. I went with Spiker this time because of the price but will buy a set of Redlines for my Son's Taco if they go on sale. Both are great hood struts!

It's a secure installation. Lot's of holes are already drilled in your truck anyway. All you need to do is paint the interior of the holes you drill and rust/corrosion is a none issue.

My Redline struts have been installed for three, going on four years now. The struts work as well as when I first installed them.
