    Trying to ID my ECU with Toyflash/Vftuner, installed tactrix drivers and disabled all antivirus- Identify button remains greyed out and I cannot do anything.. Any help? Truck is On (2presses)

    Does all your info like master key and name show up in the license info section? Does your name show up after the system ID in the box below when you click the gear icon into the toy flash area? Those are the only things I can think of that would meet the necessary requirements of making those boxes greyed out. It's like it thinks your product is not valid.

    Everything in Lic. Information is there and correct, and Toyflash shows only my system ID right under the greyed out ID button. No name afterwards..

    Toyflash Version 1.3.2 and Tactrix driver link that I was sent by VF a few days ago is what I’m using. Not plugged into a USB 3.0 port either. Must be missing something. Do I need the hood open or all doors closed or something dumb?

    The no name afterwards is the problem, you need to try and re import that reg file

    Trying that now. Just gotta lug my 30lb gaming PC Back inside to plug into Ethernet lol. I don’t need an internet connection when connecting to truck to get ECU ID or flash right?

    This was exactly the issue. Re-downloaded Reg file and my name appeared after system ID in Toyota Flash. Was then able to identify ECU specs as needed. Thank you, and thank you to everyone else who responded.

    Hi Mat, happy 4th. I still have 3 tickets open with you. 15355, 16592 and 17009. The most current I sent 6/23. Looking for VF tuner master key. Checked spam, I don't see that it was sent to me. I did order a couple of the OVTune stickers and got them in 3 days. I received my P5 reg key on 4/14 after sending my dongle in. Just feel something fell through the cracks. I'd appreciate if you could check on it for me. Thanks

    You aren't the only one. This is my greatest dissapointment with this truck. It sucks so much enjoyment out of it for me. When there is no load on the engine, there is a half second delay in response and then i have to floor it for more than a 500rpm change. Very frustrating... I've been looking for this info reading hundreds of pages about this tune..I was hoping the tune would fix this, but it sounds like I'll have to get used to dissapointment.. thank you for mentioning it.

    Well, FWIW others with the tune report that they don't have this issue.
    These trucks don't always react the same way to a tune file. There have been outliers, including my truck.
    Edit: Also, keep in mind that 2.0 has made several other huge improvements over stock calibrations. The throttle thing has also been improved, it's just that in a few situations it's still not consistent enough... on my truck.
