Nothing impressive enough to share, yet.

I’ll give it a wash and fire up the DSLR. I’m getting Xpel put on in a few weeks.

Anybody with a 2020 know of a way to wire your fog lights so you can have them and your LED lights on at the same time?

What do you mean? Are you talking having the fogs on at any point, or the fogs on with a specific light? Without touching the truck you can have the parking lights on (which illuminates the LED "racetrack" that's used as a DRL) and fogs, or the headlights / foglights. The only way the fogs shut off when the headlights are on is if you turn on the high beams?

Can you clarify what you'd like to do?

Anyone else think they look like Dodge Charger lights? :crapstorm: Don’t get me wrong, they look good, but I feel like it’s similar to all the guys throwing “raptor lights” in their Tacoma’s.

It's tough to be fair since it's been 3+ months since I drove my truck at night prior. I had the Phillips Xtravision +100 halogen bulbs in my lamps which was, at the time at least, the best reviewed halogen in the halogen review thread by @crashnburn80 . My kneejerk reaction having only driven the truck once is that distance is definitely at least as good as the upgraded halogen, if not slightly better. I feel the high beam was definitely as good as the stock halogen, if not better, but I did not upgrade my high beams. That being said, the foreground light is definitely much brighter than stock, which of course gives the illusion of superior lighting to halogen, but to what degree the distance throw is, I cannot rightfully comment without having actual data to back it up. Hopefully our friend @crashnburn80 will get a donation of a pair of these lights for testing. My gut says they beat the upgraded halogen, but likely not by as much as we all hope they do. However, the IIHS data claims the LED headlights are superior to the (at least OEM) halogen.

    https://www.iihs.org/ratings/vehicle/toyota/tacoma-crew-cab-pickup/2020#headlights

Please note I cannot easily format these tables for whatever reason in VB code

Thus if you just look at straightaway right edge and left edge on the low beam, you're getting ~27% and 22% increase in distance, respectively. The high beam increase is 15% and 37% right to left. When I look at the halogen megathread, the 18' lux value of a high power halogen versus an OEM bulb is interesting. If I'm reading the charts correctly the GE +120 shows an increase of 43% in lux, but to what extent that impacts the ultimate minimum illumination distance, I do not know. That might ultimately be a function of the assembly, not the bulb. I'd need more information.

You're not wrong. However, I'd disagree to a point on comparing them to Raptor lights. Yes, the new Tacoma lights are definitely heavily influenced by the Dodge lights, but they're also an OEM piece and not designed as a knockoff of another car's part. I think there is a difference

A point of clarification, I never said the Philips Xtravision +100 was the best reviewed bulb, far from it. Their relatively long life may offer the best balance of bulb life vs performance for those not wanting to pay the life tax of an ultra high performance halogen, making it a good mid-performance option for those that value longevity.

The IIHS ratings are based on the stock bulb. Using a high performance H11 bulb like the GE Xenon +120 boosts low beam output intensity performance by 79%, based on my numbers. It would be interesting to get ahold of an OEM LED headlight to test for comparison. Based on the IIHS numbers, it would appear the straigthaway peak values might be exceeded by the halogens with the upgraded stock wattage performance bulbs compared to the LED units, but I cannot say that for certain without testing them.

If anyone has an OEM LED headlight they'd be willing to lend, I only need one headlight for the data collection, and only need to borrow it for a few days depending on weather for outdoor distance testing before return shipping it back to you.

I apologize for the confusion, I must have gotten my signals crossed when I ordered the bulbs originally. I thought they were a higher tier than they were. Take my subjective review with a large grain of salt then.

Is there a total front LED bulb kit for the 2020s like MESO has for the rear? Ordered the rear, so just need to replace the front ones, but not keep to spend 1300 on housings too, as Im comfortable with stock housings, just want the bulbs! SDHQ quoted me like $900 for full LED bulbs for front and rear which I promptly said "No", and now rear was $150 for total tail package... Eyeing something similar for front if available!

No worries. Doesn’t change your review or perspective, just there are better halogen options out there but with shorter lifespans.

I read all the pages and I want to clarify something before I go in to install these things. I already bought the headlights and the harness is on order. One thing that I haven't seen mentioned is the mounting bracket for the headlamp assembly. Now, that page as a diagram for both the LED and non-LED and it looks the same, which is heartening. However, the previous page shows a different diagram and the bracket is not the same, which is alarming. Thus, the question is as follows: do I need a different mounting bracket?

You don't. As long as you have factory LED DRL's on your truck you should have no issues installing these headlights. With the harness it is a true plug and play.

I have an SR5, bought these headlights and now can't use them even with the harness. I'm torn between selling them or waiting for Mike to come up with a harness.
