Anyone with a stock OEM grill with no lift modifications getting false alerts from the TSS system (BRAKE!!!)?

My sensor still works fine, dash isn't lit up like a Christmas Tree type of broken. Wondering if this is a sign that the sensor could fail in the future?

Three false alerts so far at random intervals. Have 16,000 miles on a 2019 TRD OR.

Two false alerts when going under a highway overpass on a sunny day. Started making sure the sensor was wiped clean and it still went off recently on another non-cloudy day just driving on a normal street.

Funny I saw this. Just happened to me today on a turn. A car was on the side of the road so the truck was probably thinking that I was going to go straight. I’ve only had it come on 3 times since I bought it in May 2019. All stock specs for me

My taco would do the same thing. I also noticed that when going into a curved road I would get the brake now warning because the camera picks up cars in front of me. Once I did the tss recall I stopped getting the false alarms.

How many miles? Mine did that within the first 10k maybe.

Mine does this on my way to/from work when sun hits the overpasses and causes a shadow on the road in front of me.

Mine does it occasionally going over a big road crest intersection at speed. I think the sensor sees the road in front of me, not sure. It’s never applied the brakes for me or anything, just beeps BRAKE and then goes away in another second.

My 20 Sport has been fine so far. My 18 Tundra does that a lot...like once a month, even after the recall.

that actually happened to me all the time when I had my oem grille still on the truck. When I upgraded to the TRD Pro grille, all the false alarms went away. Kinda weird

On my 2018, Toyota has replaced the wiring hardness, TSS sensor, and camera at 8000 miles. Still having intermittent issues at 12,000 miles, "Toyota" has an open case on it, whatever that means.

Little over 1k miles on truck. Had it happen 3 times, but it occurs on the same street and bend. Usually coming down to the bend doing 25-35 mph with cars parked on the side. I just assume the system is picking up the parked cars and doesn't realize I'm going to cut the wheel, there is no reason to slow or brake. 1st time freaked me out and I did press the brake. 2nd time it only beeped. 3rd time it actually engaged the brakes for me. I frequent this road at least twice a week.

    Yes
Same fake grill and garnish too go figure. Happened three times in 10k. 10k with different grille hasn’t happened yet. Although could easily be a coincidence.
