    Approximately 150,000 miles

In the process of tracking down a rear ABS wheel sensor issue which has lead me to replacing the rear axle seals. I posted the below pics/videos in that thread but hoping it gets more views as a stand alone thread.
Should there be that much play in the wheel bearing or is that normal??
No gear oil was inside the drums and about a teaspoon came out when removing the axle.

No noise before, and the wheel bearings are original oem (I purchased new).
This whole adventure started with trying to fix an abs light. Noticed gear oil on the sensor so I’m replacing the seal.
Did this yesterday and that’s when I observed the play.

Was there any play with the backing plate bolted to the axle tube when attempting to move the axle.

I can`t think the PreRunner axle housing is different I might be wrong it might be normal surprising no one else has commented yet

The few bearings I pressed in over the last 20 years have been much tighter in the backing plate

Not that amount of play when secured to the axle. There was a small amount of in/out play.
I appreciate your responses. I’m like you...surprised no one has committed.
At this point since I have it off, I may just go ahead and order the Toyota bearing, snap ring, and seals to replace. I’ll have to take the assembly to Toyota to have them press out the old and put in the new bearing. I hate to go to all these trouble just to have an issue a short time later.

Lol...big changes here in NW Arkansas. I transferred here in ‘06 and there has been massive growth.
I tell my wife all the time I need a local Toyota buddy.
Appreciate the responses and you & your family have a great 4th of July!
