I totally agree with you. The Taco was always my dream car. I have had 2 4runners (01 2wd, 05 limited 4wd) and loved them both, but always had eyes for the Tacoma . I have been working hard, have no debt and decided to treat myself and bought the closest thing I’ve ever had to a new car. 2018 TRD OR w/ 23k on the clock and am so proud to drive this truck. It looks amazing, it drives awesome, and has already taken me on amazing adventures in the first 2 weeks of ownership. Mods are a blast and it is an awesome community of owners and enthusiasts. I am so proud of my Taco!

Bought a 2020 TRD off-road (and first Toyota) after owning Honda’s for 30 years. I do enjoy driving it and how it looks, but my reliability has been terrible. (See thread elsewhere). Hopefully just a fluke and we can get this thing back on the road soon!

Definitely a fluke man, like I said in that thread, its clearly the known fuel pump issue, you just had bad luck and a sh*tty service dept. Dont let it jade you.

Owned a new at the time 14 Silverado for a 4 months before I traded back into a Tacoma, never again. However I will caveat that the back seat is pretty cramped for small humans outside a carseat and adults, which if I ever do start a family may need to entertain the idea of a Tundra, though I know many say they don't think its cramped, in all reality it is.

I went from a F150 and there isn't that much difference IMO, sure it is a little smaller, not much. The Tacoma is more pleasurable to drive.
The suspension on the Tacoma is superior to the F150.
And a helluva lot more gadgets on the Tacoma!!!

The interior is loads smaller than my Dad's 14 and 18 F150s were, gadgets depend on trim lvl, Dad's trucks had air conditioned seats and 360 cameras, pano roof, etc.

First mod better be to rip out that pansy 3.5 and install a mighty, no, invincible, near immortal 4 cylinder. Followed closely by a 5 speed.

It's the only way a true Tacoma should roll.
