I got rid of the damn plastic heater Ts. One crumbled while I was lifting the engine to release a motor mount. I was lucky it wasn't running when that happened.

I can see I need to move one of the clamps up a smidge. I had to make a pad and then lay over the engine to work on it.

These 4-Seasons metal Ts are the same size as the plastics. Replaced some 21 yo hoses. Getting this done is a relief.

Yeah those can be scary. A couple cases of them failing while folks were on road trips too, i think.
It's akin to the 80 series PHH or pesky heater hose. Well actually it's not. Those Ts aren't too bad to replace, on the PHH it's a freaking bear to do. I tackled it actually as one of my first PM items I remember. Started a Saturday morning and by noon I was pissed, flustered, and getting worried :rofl:we got it done though :D
I think @Speedytech7 went a shortcut route on the PHH. Back when I did it there was no talk of shortcuts, but I'd have easily gone with that shortcut route in hindsight :D:rofl:
Point is even the baddest Land Cruiser, the 80 series, has a weak point with a cooling system component. Kinda crazy.
    Are those Ts Alunium?
