At that point it would just be easier and look better to make a plate bumper. It sounds like you just don’t prefer
all tube bumpers. There’s someone that does what you’re describing, I think it’s brute force. They make a hybrid bumper but then plate over the wings. I’m not a fan at all.

Edit: nevermind, not brute force. I can’t remember who it is, but similar to this.

    colored filler, maybe?? https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Colored-Plastic-Rolls-10-Ft,1557.html

We used the crap outta that stuff (years ago). Making air dams, fan shrouds and so on. Even did the colored pop-rivets where needed.
That pic is a Body Armor, bumper.

Yeah. That’s not the one I was thinking of but it just showed plate over tube and how I’m not a fan

In an attempt to remain somewhat legal, I riveted my front license plate on. I may move it down to the skid plate

Got the truck off pavement to go check out a local lake. It was anti climatic but it was nice to get out of the house.

Yes. Worn the eff out. Iunno. Looks like there's the end of a gun barrel inside your lights. I should go to sleep or something.

Any clearance issues between the strap buckles and the driveshaft?

Not that I’m aware of. Only clearance issue is between one strap and the leaf pack at full stuff. I just let it happen though. Worst case it breaks the strap over time and I replace it.

I had to dig back through the thread to find it, but thanks for the suggestion Randy! Digging the lack of a black frame!

Added these at the wife's request. She has gotten lazy using them on her Tahoe and wanted some on the truck.

Painted the center white to give it some contrast. I wasn’t sure if I would like it but figured I can just paint it black again if I don’t. So far I’m digging it. If I end up keeping it like this, I’ll weld those two holes shut where I had the license plate. Decided to not run a front plate.
