What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Not OP, but I have those brackets and their 30" bar with the Toyota Style switch. Couldn't be happier with it. Throws an insane amount of light for a $250 light bar, and the brackets go on super easy. I had to trim some of the plastic on my lower grill a bit for the bar to fit, but that's my fault for tweaking the bumper a bit off road. If you've never smushed your truck into a snow bank at 15-20 mph you should be fine (see zip ties holding lower grill in place so it doesnt block the bar lol.) The longest part of the install is doing the wiring, especially since I put my switch in the lower panel in front of the shift. Total PITA accessing that panel.

 

How long is your new breather hose, and where does it locate at the end? *looks at stock breather, with 12" shocks on my truck*

 

The new hose I got is 10' and I probably trimmed 30" after I'd routed it up to the driver bedside cubby.

Also, not so much something I did TO my truck as something I did WITH it, but had my second driving lesson (stick shift lessons) with my girlfriend today and she actually got out on public roads for about 15 minutes she did great, even if she was a little nervous and stalled a few times at lights. I also hit 120k the other night but neglected to snap a pic, I didnt notice until I rolled a few miles past.

I was thinking about it but these videos pretty much have all the info needed to customize tail lights. (At least in my case)

Waiting on my matte black decal for my scoop.. will be putting bilstein 6112/5160s on.. and contemplating a softopper. Some armor after that.

Ahhhh I see. I have 3 cupholders right there with the manual trans. I put my switch in the blank next to the A Trac and Aux/USB. And lemme tell ya, getting that panel off to access the back sucks. Gotta pull the entire center console and lower dash apart including the HVAC controls and pop the whole piece with the radio in it loose.

 

yeah i have that blank too! havent decided yet what I'll put there, but I've seen a thread where you basically have to perform surgery on the entire center console, just to get behind there. cant wait....

 

Oh yeah... it's super fun! And even after you take the lower dash panel under the steering wheel off you still can't access it because of the shape of the panel and the trans tunnel. So you are forced to go through the whole bs of actually removing it. Not difficult, but a mighty PITA



You can see the metal bracket/support in the dash, that bit blocks access to the back of the panel which forces you to take it off.

 

Did you retro those headlights yourself? Those look ridiculously good..
