There are quite a few different grills then the pro check them out before you commit to what is a fading fad.

I did the Pro grille the 4th day I had the truck. I don’t care if it’s played out, it’s that way for a reason. It looks bad ass. Totally changes the look of the front end and just makes it look 100000x more aggressive and rugged.

I don’t really care if something is a fad or not. I got the Pro grille after looking at several aftermarket options as well cause, in my opinion, it is the best looking. I think the 2020 OR grille looks better than the 18 version but I still don’t like the emblem.

I got the $100 eBay knock off with the OEM garnish for $50 and two years later, it still looks as good as it did when I got it.

cant speak to durability because I just bought it, but it looks badass and install took 30 minutes start to finish. I also ordered some vintage TRD stripes to give it a little flair. You will also need the TSS grille garnish for the sensor, but I found a replica that works awesome for $40 on Amazon. You can totally change the look of your truck for around $220

I have looked at other grilles but this is still my favorite. Unfortunately they Are out of stock on that website you linked. If anyone else has direct links it would be appreciated. I know I can just google it but I want to hear from people who have first hand experience with certain companies. Thanks

I just replaced my trd bro grille
Did you end up replacing your awesome stock grille ? I went the opposite way. Got tired of the pro (bro)grille and replaced it with a 2020 off-road grille I got a good deal with today. For me, this looks better.

It takes about 20 minutes. I'm a fan of the pro grill, don't care how many other girls wear the same dress to the prom. I hate the tri-oval Toyota symbol.

I am one of those people that only cares what I like. If it appeals to me I do it. Trend or not. I have the 2020 TRD OR now and kind of like the grill but may look at the Pro grill swap. Question for the good folks here ... anyone get the actual grill from Toyota? Was looking for the part number to see what exactly I need and how much that would cost. It would be good to do a cost comparison of the knock offs (nothing wrong with them, by the way) and the actual OEM grill. Anyone know? With my luck I will probably end up ordering a whole front end ... of a Highlander.

no idea on part no. but i know it’s $400-$600 so most folks don’t see the benefit of going OEM

Interesting. So you don't need all of those parts, right? Looks like you just ordered this:
    https://parts.lowetoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-trd-pro-grille-tacoma-pt22835180?origin=pla

And then you ordered the sensor cover separately? Is that correct? Still trying to figure out if I want to do that. I like the 2020 OR grill but not the big ugly Toyota logo on it. So I am on the fence ...

That is correct, just the grille and the sensor cover. There is also now a bracket available to transfer the off road or sport camera over to the pro grille that @Grant83 designed... full disclosure that is my brother and I was the guinea pig, it fit perfect.

Thank you for that. Still considering it -- and if I do I will also get the sensor bracket. I don't mean to sound offensive but I don't understand why someone wouldn't get the Toyota OEM grill if it is only $100 difference -- and was made for the truck (warranty part, etc.). I know that sounds terrible because $100 is still $100 but on an expensive truck it seems like it is not that much of a gap between the knock off and the original. Unless I am missing something -- which I surely am.

I think the only thing you may be missing is that earlier model pro grilles started off affordable and then later were jacked up to around $400 - $500 so the aftermarket at $100 then looks pretty appealing. That's why I grabbed the 2020 pro grille right away since there is a chance they will raise the cost on those too, I ordered mine before my truck arrived lol. The only advice I can offer is they want a pro vin when you order the grille so I found a vin for a 2020 pro and supplied that when I ordered, all done through their website.

To be fair though there are some aftermarket pro grilles that are done very well. As far as I know none of them have the area for the camera yet though.

I’m in need of the front camera bracket that @Grant83 designed. Still making/sending them out? I sent an email, but maybe went to spam.

Sorry, newbie here, but to be clear, the camera is only in the Advanced Technology package, yes? So if you had, say, a 2020 OR with just the Technology package, you would still only need the grill and the sensor cover.. yes? Sorry, I've ready about 82 messages on this topic and am still not 100% clear...

    Thanks!!
