There are trade offs for getting the aluminum. More MPGs and less stress/adjusting on front suspension. Those the two big ones for me.

Yes steel is definitely stronger but how strong do you really need? I t-boned the rear quarter panel of this impala going 35mph and cracked is my grill a little bit. It’s def strong but how often am I t-boning cars at 35mph

Yes, Jason makes an aluminum version also. Obviously they’ll be more expensive.

I see that frequently on here. It’s part of the reason I didn’t buy from them, the other part is customer service. It would be extremely difficult to get better customer service than what Erick at @state48overland offers.

Aluminum is always going to be much more expensive.

Waiting I can handle. I won’t deal with a company that doesn’t communicate and won’t answer questions.

I think if you are serious about protecting the front end and yourself from any strikes- car, tree, animal... above 15 mph, ARB is the only way to go. The heft, structural reinforcement and standoff will do the job. They are also airbag rated. I like the looks of these lower profile bumpers, but they do not protect the upper portion of the radiator or provide any stand off.

I currently have a CBI hidden winch mount and am extremely pleased with the engineering of it. It does not just bolt on the end of the frame rails, but has brackets which extend rearward and wrap around the rail. I understand all their bumpers mount that way, too. That would be the defining element for me if I were shopping for this style of bumper.

Yeah I hear you on ARB. I just wish they would come out with a more compact version like they did on the 2nd gen.
I also want the looks lol.
