Yeah I did one set about 3 years ago, it was my first time attempting it and they were never quite 100% right. I redid them back in November with a new housing, everything is flat black with mgm shrouds. Used 50W bulbs instead of 35W the second time and the light output is awesome, super stoked on how they came out!

I had some time yesterday to get an ARB led strip I bought by accident installed as rear lighting for use with the RTT.
The strip itself is a simple and somewhat inexpensive little unit.
Switches between white and amber, and the white is bright as canned sunshine.

But really though. I've been toying with the idea of building a custom plate to replace that cupholder piece. Since it just pops out I figure I can make a piece that size and put my own cupholders in a different layout allowing space for switches to be installed. The trick is remounting it in the stock location since it just uses clips. But if you made the two main cup holders just a tad smaller they could be side by side, leaving room for a two row switch panel either in front or behind.

Going on a long trip with an open bed, and I wanted to secure things with security cable. I don't have time to find D-rings for my front bed bolts or order security bolts, so I came up with this solution to deter thieves.

    Cleat Lock 1.jpg

Drilled a 1/4" hole through the cleat knob to insert a lock - this stops the knob from spinning to remove from the bedside. Now I can run security cable though the cleat with a little more confidence no one can easily unscrew it from the truck.

Using the hell out of this voodoo bar and rack setup I picked up a few weeks ago. Been using it so much I haven’t had time to clean and paint it lol

spent the 3 day weekend at camp.

edit: I already dislike it. Painting it black again tomorrow.

Painted the center section white to give it some contrast, and a little bit of a prerunner vibe. I wasn’t sure if I would like it but figured if I didn’t, I could just paint it black again. I’m a fan. Really helps break it up.

The inspiration. I would prefer the riveted aluminum look but it wouldn’t be strong enough to handle a fair lead. Plus this was free since I already had paint.
