Might run into me and Mohawk 4x4 Adventures there. We are wheeling a couple roads in the area Friday. I think we are hitting OFR first, around 10-11, so we should hopefully be to the other end of the trail by then.
With the weather Friday I’m guessing more people than normal will be winching the first ledge. I was hoping to have a good shot now the front is locked but if it’s wet I don’t know.

It goes all the way through, about 3 miles. Common turn around years back was Pizza rock. Large flat rock area.
The swamp was drained a few years ago so it’s not as deep crossing it. All hard bottomed.
The hardest part of the trail is the gate keeper ledge. There are go around but none are legal to be on and only give further reason to close the road down. If you make it past the first ledge the rest isn’t that bad. One more large ledge but is a little easier than the first.

I made it up the first ledge, but had to winch the second one due to stabbing the clutch back in on accident

I think I can handle that unlocked, worse case scenario I get a pull up it and continue on. I got skids back to the t case so I’m not worried. I’m hyped to go though!

Did you make it out there? We got 15 rigs through the first ledge before it started pouring. I was one of two that didn’t winch, made me feel good wheeling with 14 Wranglers of all different capacities

Mt. Washington is cool. I have a different location with options to tent overnight that would be better. would still be on a mountain with great views.

It was hard difficulty for sure and it took us 4.5 hours to complete, your rigs in damn good shape for going down there. Its one hell of a challenge in the pouring rain, lost traction and slid down a hill side into a tree and took my drivers mirror off at the gatekeeper. My friend helped me up after that, But after this i know i need a high clearance bumper, my tow hitch was eating rocks. All i can say is thank god for snatch blocks

Much appreciated. Turns out that's where I thought they were based on my online reading, but I wanted some confirmation.
