I put in what will likely be my last time off request and also during the time I expect to be let go. It's very surreal. I've never had so many emotions at once ... Maybe it's the coffee

Lady who owns the cabin we stayed in this weekend ask how our stay was. My wife told her the view was awesome, the mice droppings on everything and getting into our food was not. She refunded our cleaning charge and at the end put "hope y'all come back and stay". No thanks, too many other cabins to rent!

Side note, my wife was showing me land for sale in that area this morning. I said 2 things, we don't need 2 mortgages and the only day we have off is Sunday. Back to reality Monday it is!

 

That sucks. The airbnb we stayed at was a fairly new construction but everything in the room we stayed in was dated and I had to fix the curtain rod while there. I'm going to be suggesting that the guy buy all new bedding and blackout curtains for guests since the thin curtain was no match for the daylight at 10pm.

I wonder sometimes what goes through these peoples heads when they have these rentals?

...and the shop at the new house had mouse droppings galore. I'm going to have my work cut out for me ripping out all the insulation and sealing it up.

 

I just pulled a Crippledho and unwatched some threads, why was I involved in some of those to begin with?????

 

I told my wife the house we stayed in was decorated from Goodwill. There were lamps EVERYWHERE. We counted 9 in the living room. None of the furniture matched, all Goodwill purchases I suspect, that didn't matter to us, the view made up for it.

 

I asked myself the same thing. It was a freeing experience

 

I went from 9 pages to 1. Free indeed!

 

Anybody have Hughesnet internet? That is what we had this weekend, satellite internet. It was awful. Standing right beside the modem and trying to text a downsized picture took forever. It was nice not watching TV for 3 days though!!!
