Thanks. It’s a slow work in progress. Needs a good cleaning.

Added this LED bar to my knock off pro grill a little while back but didn’t post.

looks nice, how difficult was it to install the tracks on the shell? Been wishing I would’ve got them installed when I got my topper.

Installed diode dynamics led low beam bulbs yesterday(much much better than stock bulbs).
Need to find some help with wiring so I can install my ss3 fogs and switch.

Washed the truck this morning... so of course it’s raining now.

Had to send my baby to the dealership. Started last week while leaving work. Pulled out and it died on me in traffic. Check oil, A/T temp high and check charging system warning lights came on. I was able to restart it right away and got home. Once I got home sitting in my driveway I noticed it was starting to misfire, shake/jerk and the check engine light came on. Idle was all over the place and the engine starting knocking so I turned it off. When I started it to get it on the tow truck it sounded like the timing was off.. 2019 Tacoma TRD OR with roughly 23K miles.

**ETA : Just got off the phone with the dealership, they said it was the fuel pump that went bad. As you might know there is an open recall on them but the remedy wont be available till mid to late September from what he says. He is going to have it replaced now and notify me when the recall pumps come in. Just waiting on a gasket but I should have my truck back this time tomorrow.

Opted out of all the snooping Toyota is doing. Not one of those tin foil hat 5g is the source of coronavirus dumbasses, but this always bothered me. Knew about it before I got the truck, and cancelling it was pretty straightforward.

It's a damned shame everybody doesn't opt out. The sheeple are slowly surrendering their freedom to technology.

I haven't done a whole bunch of looking, but is this something in every model, or just those with certain trim packages (e.g. in dash navigation)?

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Always sad to see one's ride on the back of a tow truck.

Since you were leaving from work, probably not the same problem, but I had something similar happen around a month ago. The truck had been sitting in the driveway for days when I took it out for a grocery run one morning. It was running like crap, and the check engine light was on. We had a rain storm the night before, so I'm thinking bad plug wire, cracked coil pack, whatever. So long as it was sorta' running, I limped on over to the shop and left it with them. Many hours later, they gave me a call. Rodents had decided to make the engine bay home, and while they were at it, snacked on the wiring. Ended up costing roughly $1K to fix (insurance paid for it). They gave me the leftover parts when I picked it up. There were two connectors that were once the ends of a wire harness, with NO wire left in between, just the connectors. Must have been metal-munching critters.

I'm told that this is actually a fairly common problem.

From what I understand, it greatly increased with the 2020 model. And it's bound to get worst. I see the day when you'll getting speeding tickets in the mail when your vehicles reports your speed to the cops. You won't even have to be anywhere near one.
And of course insurance companies will raise your rates based on your monitored driving habits.

What bugged me was the whole usage based car insurance Toyota and I forgot which insurance company they teamed up with. I have Allstate and every time I open their app to access info or my insurance card they always remind me to sign up for their bullshit Drivewise service. No way in hell I'll ever sign up for that.
