It was cheaper to do lots of things that seem otherwise stupid.

You know how many Firearms are left overseas due to import export restrictions and cost?

 

When the U.S. ended their occupation of the Philippines, they literally just got up and left. I know so many people in the PH with old Willy's Jeeps that the U.S. just left behind.

In fact, they're a huge part of our culture. The locals turned them into sort of taxis, and stretched them. They're called Jeepneys, not to be confused with Jitneys.

for $10~ you get a nameplated collar that is better than anything you can buy from a pet store. Like the ones I've bought.

GPS/Zapper, that's quite an interesting combo. How do the GPS trackers work? Only tracking dog collar I've seen is one made by Garmin. When I go sportsfishing off the California coast, the owner of the party boat we always take has this big Golden with one on his collar.

But yeah, ditching (and destroying, new in crate) Jeeps is nothing new.

Had veterans tell me how they were instructed to sometimes just drive them into, and ditch them in the ocean.

You can be anywhere in the Philippines and you will see one. They're the main form of transport for a majority of the country. They're like communal taxis, you wait until they fill up and then it delivers people.

The PH has some weird ass vehicles.

I would receive a random text message maybe once every two or three weeks apologizing that she wasn't talking to me due to her busy work schedule.

I would just tell her it's okay, she doesn't have to apologize since I know she works for the county.

Otherwise no we haven't talked or hung out in a while.
