It's pretty straight forward. There's really only one point where it's a straight or a left.

    Go straight haha

We were at the second big ledge when it started pouring. 2 guys didn’t have their doors, one didn’t have the top. They got a little wet.

Did some exploring in northern VT a couple weeks back. Nothing that even needed 4wd, but it was a great drive.

Great thread, glad I found it! New Taco owner here of a 2020 off road. Definitely want to get out on some stock-safe trails/roads until I start making upgrades. I'm working on basic gear and tools in the meantime. Southern NH is a quick drive for me so I'll probably start there using Google maps and Gaia.

I'm still working on all the details of it, but I may have a stock friendly multi-day trip that's going to need some test volunteers when I have it all assembled. It's going to start at the Vermont/Canadian border and run through the state all the way down to North Adams MA. The pictures I posted above are from one of the nothernmost sections. If you look at the photo of my truck, the mountain in the background with the cliff face is right on the Vermont side of the border.

EDIT: In fact, I want to check out some big portions of the trip, maybe even a 'dry run' of the whole thing at the end of August. If anyone is available the week of 8/24 for a couple of days and wants to drive it with me, drop a PM. There's probably going to be a lot of poking around, hunting for fuel stops that make sense, etc. but we'll be mostly self-supported and off-grid/discrete camping the whole time.

Thanks yeah I plan on it! Definitely learned early on reading here that's something to add early. Almost wish I didn't already have the steps as they obviously aren't meant to serve the same purpose. But on the other hand, wouldn't care to much about damaging them if i'm replacing anyway.

You'll still want to be careful with them. I had the OEM running boards on my truck and when I caught one on a stump it messed up the mount and broke one of the welded nuts inside the rocker free. That thing was a bear to remove.

Oh, no I posted a while back. I took my truck out in the R.I. woods one time. Very much so a stock friendly trail but I ranked my rocker panel. Getting it pulled and blended in a few weeks but still, yeah. Don’t have too much confidence.

I'm right in North Adams, and have some knowledge of the trail network from Bennington south.

Ive been to that exact spot before. Very cool views. IIRC Canada was only about a mile or two in the distance
