That was a nasty little tease! :annoyed:

Aluminum yes! raw or powder coat as a drop down option. Now, will the aluminum need to be thicker to keep the same strength for the non sunroof models.

I call first dibs on the one in the pic, I'll take the non sunroof hex model as is!

Unscrew the thread out and it should give you more length to engage the jacknuts. Some tools also have another “collar” Threaded on the end and that can be removed as well for a little more length.

Would you be able to connect these two pieces together for more surface storage space?

I'm curious too. Hard to find a place to mount a full size CB in a taco.

Got mine installed after fighting a little bit with the jack nuts. Figured the trick out after the first one, and the rest went in fine.

    32MM from edge to edge

We're getting closer... Aluminum coated black. These are my final samples and if testing goes well we will start production on the new HEXrack Line. Also coming out with a custom packaging box and better hardware to make it easier for everyone to install.

Can you please school me on why this is better? I'm new to this. I get the aluminum switch but why the hex holes verses slots? There must be hex mounts that fit in the holes. (I saw your previous post on this) But why is this better and where do you obtain the hex mounts. ( I googled it with out much success success) Thanks in advance!

The hex gives more versatility on mounting. You can strap items front to back, side to side, or even diagonal.(SEE PIC)
I am also starting to incorporate the "HEX" pattern into a lot of my new products, so that's the idea behind to design.
Last, I am making a small adaptable light (HexPod) that happens to be the exact same side hole cutout. So they can snap into the rack for even more interior lighting:D

OK I can kind of see the directional thing but where does someone obtain the hex patterned mounting pins/ hex anchor points. Again new at this. Thanks,

OK, that makes each of the six hex sides 16mm. In order to lay a strap flat in the hex opening, I require a 16mm or less width strap. Correct?

You would just weave the molle webbing through the Hex's. Just like you would any "molle" std holes. There is no direct mounting pins or anchor points. Although I might make something like that in the future once this product line grows to other platforms.
    This should help

Apologies, I originally interpreted your 32mm as the long diagonal, not the short diagonal. 18.5mm is correct on the hex side length.
