Started Snowfall on Hulu. Looks very promising

 

The wife and I started watching Richard Hammond's Big! while I was building my 3D printer. It was on our Motortrend channel and is pretty good.

 

Just finished season 2 of Hanna on Prime.
A different feel than the first season, but still well done. If you liked the 1st season you will probably like this one too.
I thought they did a good job of advancing the characters and the story line in this season.
I'm looking forward to season 3.

 

yeah the one thing I didn't care for about season 1 was how unrealistic it got toward the end, I'm all for suspending disbelief especially when it comes to a well done fantasy/fiction based show, but the whole 'good guy always hits his target and the bad guy can't hit the side of a barn' gets old. That started happening a lot toward the finale in season one when they were taking the complex.

Season 2 was a lot better imo. Although the best part of season one was Joel Kinnamens character (Erik), everything he's in he's great at. Really liked when him and the redhead actress from Hanna were detectives in that show The Killing

 

Got an email yesterday that Prime is setting up profiles like Netflix and Hulu for those on family accounts. No more random ass chick-flick shows popping up as suggestions haha.

 

I've gotten so used to scrolling through all the baking channel recommendations and house hunting shows lol

 

I don't think my Wife is even using our Amazon. Guess that's why my list is spot on with not much fluff.

 

Ha! Filmed in Dartmouth, NS in Canada, I went to school at Dalhousie and met many of the real trailer park boys, love the series, but my wife hates it.

Just finished season 1 of Umbrella Academy on Netflix. Went into it not knowing much about it other than several friends recommended it, wound up really liking it.
A more gritty superhero series when compared to Marvel stuff (the movies), but not as gritty as The Boys (Prime).
Looking forward to season 2 of UA which comes out at the end of this month.
Also looking forward to season 2 of The Boys which I believe is slated for early September.

 

Finished all 3 seasons of Snowfall... Might be controversial to say but as far as drug empire dramas go, I think it beats them all including Breaking Bad. One of the best shows I've watched in awhile.

Can't wait for season 4 but damn Covid delayed the filming...

 

Guns Akimbo on Prime with Dan Radcliffe. Amusing mindless action, don't expect more and you wont be disappointed.
The trailer is an accurate depiction, if you like it you'll probably like the movie.

 

Palm Springs on hulu. Groundhogs day nostalgia, overall pretty fun

 

Turquoise miners on Netflix. Meh mining for cool rocks ruined by the worst corn. I watch a little hear or there, it drags and is extremely repetitious. I have to say the stones and blasting are cool.

 

Snowfall is extremely well done! A top 7 in my all time!
