Picked up my OR wheels from powdercoat today. I tried to find a color close to the center caps, but they are a bit off. Have to get that paint matched I guess. But really happy with how they turned out! Although I did tell them to leave the lug nut holes bare but oh well.

Designed, cut, press broke and installed my new roof rack. We decided to ditch the t-slot extrusion for something actually strong. Each rib has 4 opposing breaks and can hold a ton of weight. The holes allow for endless tie down points and spots to attach accessories.

entire rack is 1/8” aluminum with 3/16 steel brackets. Rack weighs 30 lbs.

just curious why you removed the windshield tint. Mine is tinted 35% plus a 5% strip at the top. I like it so much that I’ll never own another vehicle without tinting the windshield

    Well to keep this perspective:

I bought the truck used from an independent dealer, so it was on there BEFORE I bought her. And I had kept it on there for almost a 1 1/2 years before removing it. But suffice it to say, troopers frown on windshield tint. A couple have even mentioned to me in passing I needed to get it removed. It was "drug dealer" dark.

This pic was taken in mid May (so it was getting hot and all in Mississippi where I live)

    20200514_120401.jpg

If you can't tell, you can't see sh*t inside. It was that DARK.

Also my eyes, while I'm not blind, have a hard time at night. So for my safety (and others on the road), I had it removed.

Now saying that, the local tint shop is going to put an anti-glare film on the front windshield to help keep the heat out. I do miss that about the dark tint. I also plan to get a dark strip across the front.

Really sharp man - always amazed at the talent on these forums. Do you ever plan on producing something like this, or just a DIY hobby?

Noticed two of the large torx bolts on my tailgate that were taller than all the others. Replaced two striped grommets from the manufacturer. Should have ordered more, because I found a 3rd in the process. :frusty:87907052-F3BB-4074-8117-C1085C74C75D.jpg

I don't know why because I seem to notice every other feature on a Tacoma but headlights and tail lights. :notsure: On the bright side (pun intended) it's saving me money! :D
