Dobinsons 2nd/3rd Taco, 5th Gen 4runner Snorkels Group Buy **CLOSED

Got mine installed tonight. The template was just a tad bit off so I assume it still hasnt been addressed from previous shipments. I was still able to pretty easily get everything mounted up and tightened with no issues. The silicone elbow was not hard at all to install.

 

Just finished installing mine! Was able to make it work with my aFe intake that feeds the TRD SC! Had to do some cutting and trimming to pieces and bought a rubber and PVC coupling from HD and dremelled it down to make it all work.

Unfortunately my template was WAY off and ended up drilling extra holes to correct. Big oof but oh well, not a big deal for me as it’s covered by the snorkel and I’ll never run that fender without it.

Thanks for the deal @Crikeymike !! Now I don’t have to worry about creek crossings like this any more!

Will this work with a prinsu rack and 4" rigid 360's mounted as ditch lights?

 

Shouldn't be an issue with the rack, but there's no way to tell with the ditch lights. The snorkel may block the light when it's installed, or the light may contact it when the hood opens up, depending how they're mounted.

Installed today by myself. Not too difficult despite the template being off.

 

Is it still possible to get a 2nd gen one?

 

Why the hell is the template still off? Surely Dobinson has had enough time to make those corrections by now....it's just a damn piece of paper

 

installed. 13mm Ratcheting Wrench was a life saver. Side note I think mine would have fit a little better if I would have used the template as is vs lining up the two rearmost facing bolts and modifying it. After lining the template up on the snorkel, the back two studs were lower. After installing on the truck I had to open those holes a little more to move them back up, but that could just be my truck being quirky.
