My solution was just to swap the SRAM drivetrain for Shimano.

Anyone experiences wobbling when hard braking going downhill or just normal?

I cannot figure out why mine is wobbling at the front?

That is not something I have ever experienced. Can you give a better description?

What kind of wobbling? Like is the fork moving/vibrating or does it feel more like the speed wobble in the handlebars?

Let's say, when I brake hard, it wobbles like the wheel is gonna come off! I was going downhill too fast. It would do that after I go through the puddle or mud.

usually has something to do with the rotor or pads (I'm assuming disc brakes), either the rotor is warped, or the pads are unevenly worn, which will most likely eventually cause the rotor to warp.

best bet may be to replace the rotor and the pads and see if that solves it.

What wobbles? The wheel? At the headset? Are the wheels true? Any noise coming from the front hub?

It could have to do with the rotors or pads like @DarthPow said. It probably wouldn’t hurt to check for play in the hub and headset.

true, make sure your thru-axle (? looks like you have a thru axle) is tight.

    weird question I've always wondered...

why do new bikes not come with good pedals? like why have they either A) not created their own pedals for their bikes or B) teamed up with a brand that makes great pedals to put on all of their bikes?

Most people buying high end bikes have preferences. What I like might not be what you like and vice versa. I ride clip ins almost exclusively - give me a bike that has a nice set of platforms and I'll never use them but will have paid for them in buying the bike.

sure, I get the preference thing....but you know as well as I do that if they did a mass deal with a brand, or created their own....that the price of pedals to them would be cheap.

a decent set of pedals is 50-100$, so less than that for a company that did a mass amount. anything sub 100$ on a 2k or greater purchase...is arguably negligible to the buyer.

How this situation would play out more times than not. I worked in a bike shop throughout highschool and college so I feel pretty good in how this would go.

Bob goes to buy a bike. Say it's $3000 and it comes with pedals, valued at $100. Bob doesn't want those pedals, they're black and he want's green pedals to match the wheel decals. So now Bob wants to buy other pedals, but he doesn't need two sets of pedals. Bob wants the retailer, Jimmy, to buy the pedals back at retail, or cover the price of the green pedals. Jimmy doesn't want another set of black pedals that came with this bike, Jimmy already have a shit ton from all the other Bobs that wanted green pedals. Now Jimmy has a box full of $100 black pedals that no one wants.

On the contrary with current pedal arrangements. Bob buys the same bike without pedals. It's now $2950. Bob has a blank slate and can buy whatever pedals he wants, and he can even match them to other accessories like grips and a muc off fender. Bob gets a few more custom touches, ultimately pays more, but get's exactly what he wants. Jimmy doesn't have a box full of $100 black pedals, got to make more profit off the accessories (since accessories have a much higher mark up than bikes), and gets to see Bob stoked on his new ride instead of haggling about factory supplied pedals.

so why do the bikes always come with things like grips and saddles? those are always of a higher quality level on the higher end bikes, sometimes a non bike brand...but people change them out too. pricing is similar between them all...

the second situation is better. especially when you consider some people might want flats, or SPD, or Look pedals, (depending on road vs. mtb) and that just complicates everything further.

I’d say it’s cause saddles are a pain to swap haha. Really you could say the same for pretty much any part when you’re talking mid level components
