I've learned that just the combination of dissimilar metals alone (with the inclusion of transient voltages) can cause pitting and corrosion. Aluminum is just so soft and electricity is just so angry lol

How would i stop that from happening? Running a ground from the alt to the head, the head to the block, the block to the transmission, the transmission to the body where its tied into from the battery?

I did a quick google but found nothing specific to automotive applications

    I have mods
Run the Zerex asian red coolant and just put beefier grounds in the stock locations.

Well the AutoZone in my area was the first group to screw up with me. They insisted I needed to change the ignition coil when it was really plugs. So I just tried another local place which ended up the same way

Then definitely not usable. I definitely wouldn't recommend that. Bummer. Freaking jackasses. I look up part numbers myself even from places like Vatozone on their own website and tell them the part number I need because of that BS you're dealing with

Yea, if theres a misfire code from the obd2 it will always say coils just dont listen to the tit behind the counter and tell them exactly what to do, if possible provide the part numbers after looking up what you need online

Yeah you want the grounds from engine to body nice and clean. Put a probe from multimeter on each bolt head of ground and put meter on ohm setting and you want number close to zero as possible.
You can also use heavier gauge wire for the grounds but I haven't felt that necessary. As long as the coolant is flushed every few years.
Coolant turns HEAVILY corrosive over the years and can chew up soft metals, even iron

This pretty much will keep the cooling system in tip top shape. These Yotas are so easy to maintain, as long as they've been maintained decently from start

That's likely the exception to the rule..... Actually maybe it's not. Maybe that's the norm and that can be expected of most Hiluxes :D

My 3-ton floor jack is starting to seep a little oil. It's barely over a year old. I bought it when I started the Tacoma project. I can't remember if I bought a replacement policy. Though I rarely do that. I can't remember if Tractor Supply keeps up with past purchases like some of the parts stores.

I think O'Reilly may be the fastest-growing in my area. I never realized how big they are.
