I had an accidental firearm discharge inside of my 2011 Tacoma which put a hole through the passenger rear jump seat and in the cab corner interior sheet metal severing an airbag wire in the loom going to the side curtain system. I spliced the wire with a good solder joint and insulated the bare splice. I don’t have any airbag light before or after the shooting and repair other than the normal system test on startup but I cannot get the cruise to turn on, no on, set, nothing. All fuses are good. Any ideas other than another trip through firearm safety training? Thank you, Tom

I don't have any suggestions for troubleshooting, but I respect you for owning the mistake.

Last guy I knew with this problem had a hole in in hand and a bullet under his kneecap. You're doing well!

Have you had someone connect a scanner to it? I'd be curious if there was a code set or pending in there.

Here's an install manual for a retro kit, I'd follow their troubleshooting section (pg 11) to start.
    http://www.rostra.com/manuals/250-1836_Form5188F.pdf

Pretty sure this is going to end with you going through that full harness with a continuity tester.... tedious, but effective.
