I was at 04B12 and going to 04B13 was a massive change on my Taco. 04B14 was even better by all estimates, but it had been a long time since I had driven 04B13 Stock. I think you will be really happy. For me there was a small power bump with 04B13, and some folks have said that they felt there was a bit more with 04B14. I drove 04B14 for about 700mi and really liked it for the most part. The bottom end torque hole made me more than ready to switch back to the tunes by the end of the second tank though.

Once the newness of the truck wore off I was always disappointed by the uneven throttle response and the lag when you put your foot down. I have gotten used to it though and it doesn't bother me as much anymore, I just rev the piss out of it and shift a lot. I'm excited to see if I notice a difference with the ECU flash. I've always wanted the OVtune but our Canadian peso has been pretty poor pretty much since I've got the truck and I'm looking at just over over a grand for the tune. I just did a bunch of work on the truck and it's running great so I really want the tune now as a cherry on top just make it that much better. Getting 04B14 is the first step so hopefully work picks back up a bit here and I can plunk the cash down.

With vF Tuner, folks are allowed to flash other people's Tacos. You might want to see if someone might be offering tunes near you?

04B14 Stock felt a lot like OVT 1.05 Base except with less torque down low.

I finally got my act together and got 04b14 flashed to my truck. As most have said, follow the instructions in post #1 and it is pretty straight forward.
@tonered, if you do get access to the OP, I’m happy to help you with whatever if you need anything. Maybe even a short video would help people? I’ve been teaching mostly online (lots of video content) for the last couple months, so a ~5 minute video on flashing .cuw shouldn’t be too big a project...

Got the cable today, it was at my house less than 24 hours after being ordered so good job Tactrix. I ran Techstream 14.20.019 and put 04B14 on with no dramas, other than I don't own a laptop so I carried my desktop out and hooked it up in the truck. You guys weren't kidding, feels like a different truck now - more like a normal vehicle that doesn't stumble and surge all the time. Literally noticed it pulling out of the driveway as it went through first gear wayyy smoother. No weird surges and even the shifts feel smoother as it doesn't stumble as much going into the next gear. Seeing what kind of difference I can get from a factory tune, I'm going to get on the OV train very soon. Thanks for all the help guys, if there's anyone in Calgary who wants this done I'm happy to do it.

You search the mod-list, but don't find anything of interest.
It looks like none of these apply to the 2019's? Is there nothing out for that year? Does anyone know of instructions on how to pull your ECU ID using TechStream, can't seem to locate that (admittedly didn't dig).
