Yeah my @Mobtown Offroad front skid has a circular opening and it's easy to move the switch on the Fumoto valve with the front skid on the truck. F133 vid getting uploaded in an hour or so.

Got a question for you all, I got a problem with my truck.

While i was in ATL i drove an hour to grab some food. While i was sitting in the parking lot with my car idling, i noticed my ac start to get warmer. The temperature gauge was hot. So of course when i noticed that i the heat on to lower the temperature of the engine and that worked fine. I started to drive and the temperature started to go down. i drove home perfectly fine with ac on.

I drove home yesterday from ATL to NOVA perfectly fine.

Another instance happen today. I was driving perfectly fine. but while i was sitting in traffic the temperature gauge was slowly jumping higher and higher. but when i pressed the gas and started to move with traffic it went back down.

Has anyone experienced this? And have any solutions?

Have you cleaned your temp sensor since you went wheeling, and how does your coolant level look?

I would start by checking your coolant level. Hopefully that's the fix.

That happened to @UntamedTaco and can happen to cars in general in this heat. If you experience it again, put the truck in neutral and rev the engine to about 2.5k and hold it. That spins the fan and gets air flowing, and you’ll see the needle start to drop.

Check your coolant level and see if your radiator is dirty as well.

@EatSleepTacos, I purchased a mini impact to leave in my truck when wheeling because of you. Its a dewalt, the 20v max that runs to 150ftlbs. You think that will be enough for most trail things or should i just swap for a heavier one?

No, i dont know how. LOL

    Coolant Levels are full.

Radiator probably needs a spray down. Coolant says full, but looks lower than it was on friday.

After seeing that picture I would just spray down the radiator, just watch your TSS logo, My truck was throwing check brake and check sensor codes after I dosed it in water the other day. They are gone now. But yeah, spray off your radiator, because your motor doesnt look dirty at all

I try to keep one in my recovery/tool bin in the bed...haven't had to use it, but figured it beats if only for partial saving the elbow grease for unexpected wrenching needs, of course now I'm like, "Do I need a set of torque bars, and the 1/2" impact, too?!?"

Damn it TW and over prepping mindset!!!!!!!!
-For what it's worth with all that's going on this year, my better half certainly changed her tone on my prep mindset and provisions! = :dancingbacon:Good enough validation for me!

For shits and giggles, and photos beat text, do you have any photos of the sensor or its location in the engine bay?

Time to represent the NoVA Roll Call out in the Pacific for a few years...some pics from my walk this morning (or it didn't happen, right?):

    IMG_4723.jpg IMG_4725 2.jpg

I'm sure I'll be back amongst you all once my time is up out here, and I plan on staying active in this thread anyway. Hopefully get the Taco back on Thursday of this week, thank heavens. The mando 14-day ROM/quarantine sucks balls, but I guess it could be worse. I can at least PT and walk my dog.

Although entirely different reasons, I was without mine for almost a month and it of course was timed with the summer heat "catching up" or whatever you weather folk call them! Haha and my civic AC is shot!

Got the truck fixed via axle shims and have been basking in the AC in the afternoon commute!

Damn, this brought back memories..........we lived there before most of you were born. A lifetime ago. It's not something you can ever forget though.

You said it...I was here on KBay from 2001-2007 also. Talk about memories coming back, and we haven't even left Ford Island yet.
