    Haha I was kidding, I have never used leverage or margin or options. I just buy, hold, and collect dividends. If I buy, it's money that can disappear and me be ok with that.

    Yeah, but the reality of it is if you got a LOC for like $25K, a very repayable amount (I'm assuming for people discussing HELOC's) You could pay that back over a few years if the worst happened and you lost it all. If you just buy some big chips on a 40% discount, make your payments for a year, cash out with $60K....pay off the credit line...and save $500 for an accountant when you do your taxes :)

    Current holdings, I try to equally weight contributions and let the winners run. I have about 16% in SPHD. It’s a 4%+ yield that I consider pretty safe. My goal is to not have to even look at it!

    Well yea, obviously you were trying to, in a round about way, let her know that she needs to take up curling.
    It's not the big deal that women think it is when a man says this...I think it's like a woman saying "Oh, look at that purse..." It might be a Prada bag, or a MK....Sure you've taken a quick look at it, and it's a nice bag...but you don't know what is inside it. It could be filled with dried cat feces and half eaten cheese sandwiches...So remember you've just admired the purse. You're not going to take it home...you've got the purse you're happy with hanging right over your shoulder. It's on the seat next to you in the car. It's at home in the kitchen on the counter...It's the purse you chose to bring home and keep...Don't worry about admiring a purse....
