If you're hiding guns in your truck, make sure you put those cool gun manufacturer stickers on the rear window so everyone knows!

I was thinking that myself but it has never failed me up to that point. I do not have an exit wound amazingly but it is possible that it could have traveled through some of the body cavities and damage things. Horn and everything else works. I will find a shop with a scanner next week and see what it looks like. Thank you for the replies.

    This isn’t a firearm problem. It’s a people problem.

Are Tacomas responsible for hit and run accidents?

Were all the doors and windows closed? It must have been quite a pop... 1. are you deaf now? 2. Maybe the concussion in the cab jolted a connection loose...?

    No. He admitted his mistake.
It has happened to many, the magazine gets forgotten.

Its an AR10 that's 5 less ARs but yes I usually have one in the hole and on safe but on this particular day I had shoved a short mag in the rifle and did not have one chambered so when I did the chamber check by pulling the charge handle back to look into the chamber nothing was in the hole BUT since I overlooked having a short magazine in the rifle it did what it was supposed to do and picked on up and chambered a round so when I released the firing mechanism before handing the rifle off to someone it did what guns do when you pull the trigger. Believe me, I feel like a dumb ass. I am into firearm safety and I don't do stupid things like shooting my truck very often.

I always thought proper procedure was to completely unload a weapon magazine and all before placing in your vehicle for transport? I always completely unload any weapon, magazine and all before hitting the road, but im not a firearms expert by any means, I wouldn't risk having an accidental discharge for any reason lucky no one was hurt.

    Lesson learned.

Now back to the truck. Have you checked the codes. You could have just shorted the circuit. Don’t just look at fuses. Pull and test with ohm meter.
