Fully finished my install today. I ended up routing the mic cable down under the dash and ziptied it along the OBD2 cable then up the weatherstripping to the top of the plastic A-pillar. So far it has been pretty receptive with the windows up, we will see with more testing if I need to locate it near the factory mic location. Overall I have to say this is the sleekest and most OEM-looking radio setup I have ever done. Using the stock radio surround, and having it near flush looks amazing! I was very close to ordering the Halo 9 setup and I am glad I waited. I dont know if I could have lived with the "TV hanging off the dash look" of the Halo 9.

No sure why I couldn't picture that... I might have to go under the toyota symbol on mine. Thanks a ton for that picture!

Look on Thingverse or Shapeways. Someone was making a camera mount that fits in the emblem.

I will, I have a weird grill on mine. I put this one on because I think the 2019 SR5 grilles look like a mini van. No clue where I could mount a camera on this one... Hmmmm

That angled camera #2 on your list should fit under the emblem circled. Even if u have to trim part of the fins to get it back far enough.

Has anyone had any trouble where your car play connects but the Bluetooth won’t play as soon as you turn you car on? It will still play the song but there is no sound

No, but I use wired carplay. The problem I'm experiencing now is that when i use waze after the truck sitting overnight or after work, i will be driving at least 5 minutes before waze updates to my correct position. It will still show that I am at my house until I have driven at least 5 minutes or so. Super frustrating!

Bluetooth volume is typically a function of phone volume. Ensure you phone volume is at least 50%
You can also adjust source volume for bluetooth in the head unit settings.

Thats because waze is using the phones GPS instead of the trucks antenna. Takes a while to get a good signal after leaving the house/garage/having phone restricted access to satellites.

I've always used it by the phone signal only. It has always come up right away. I even went through settings to make sure I was allowing it to share my location. Something has changed. I can't place it. I am running beta ios14 now but it was also doing it before i switched from 13.... Thanks for responding. If you or anyone comes up with something different to try, please let me know.

This happens to me a lot in my company car. The only fix that I have found to fix it is leave the phone screen on and Waze app open. When I turn off the screen, my current location is struck on a place and won't move. But when I turn the Waze app on and running and don't turn my phone screen off, it picks up my current location and works. I am also using an iPhone when this happens. It does not happen when I use my Android phone. I hope this help.

Cool! I will give this a shot. Didn’t seem like it mattered before. But something has changed. I sent waze a message. Will report back what I hear. Thanks again!

    Developer?

I’m in the beta program but haven’t received the 14 beta yet. I just downloaded 13.6.

It’s cool. More functions than I’ll ever use. CarPlay does more. Best to watch a video. Lol. My explanation would suck and I don’t know crap. If you use Amazon music as your main music, don’t switch to 14. Amazon music will not work yet with 14. I might switch back if it doesn’t work soon. Or cancel and do apple

If you’re on Verizon you should get Apple Music for free.
