2019 transmission fluid level

Does any one know of 2019 Tacoma TRD off road 4x4s having low transmission fluid levels, like some the earlier 3rd gen did? The dealer told me the 2019 models have a sensor that tells if the transmission fluid level is low. I only have 5600 miles on it and it has started ruff up and down shifts in parking lots and low speeds.

Pretty sure there’s a sensor in all the trucks but it has to be very low for it to actually go off. It doesn’t check to see if its filled to spec, its if it is severely low

 

Mine was almost half a quart low when I checked it at 500 miles. No shifting issues in my case. 16k now. You may want to take it in since there seems to be an issue. If it’s low enough to cause shifting issues, get it documented.

 

I would insist on getting it checked if you are experiencing shifting issues. And yea, get it 100% documented.

This is what I ended up doing because I had to "see it for myself". Bit of a faf but not that bad.
