I’ve been looking at a few racks and have narrowed it down to the prinsu, uptop bravo, or the dv8 off-road rack. Any experience with these and what would y’all prefer?

I have the UpTop Overland Alpha. Solid rack and good customer service. Easy install. If you are looking at Bravo I say go for it.

    Thanks Drew @upTOPOverland_Drew @upTOPoverland

I did some research and went with the Prinsu. I hope to install it tomorrow.

I've got the UpTop Alpha and my buddy has the Prinsu, both are good racks. Price may be the determining factor for some, aesthetics is subjective. I love my grab handles which you can also get as an add-on for the Prinsu.

No My UpTop does not, can't speak about the Prinsu because I don't own one.

Mainly kayaks and lumber if need be. I bought the Yakima streamline and then shortly after found those racks! They look much better.

Just put a prinsu on the other day. So far so good. Easy install. Looks great. Will be putting a rack on the Leer as well in order to carry long lengths of lumber.

Very nice! I may be leaning toward that one.

Prinsu mounting bolts (that bolt the rack to the feet into the roof are not black) are not black. The bar for the fairing is not black. Everything else is black. Items that are not black are not really visible until you're looking down at the rack from the top.

Is there any wind noise for yours from the light bar cutout?

    Yes, definitely.

It would be a nice idea if they made a removable cap plate or insert for the fairing. I haven't gotten around to installing a light yet, and even when I do, it would be nice to put a wind cap on it if I know I have a few hundred miles of freeway driving.
