    Little bit of stuff.
My .02 is that OP has been completely straightforward in his error, and has been very humble in his request for help. Let's stop roasting him for causing his problem, and help him find the root as well as a solution.

In my (limited) experience, cruise control would be directly affected by an issue with a wheel speed sensor, so you may have a compound issue. You mentioned no direct exit wound in the body, so it sounds like you may have to strip the interior (not too hard, I've done it in an hour) and search for signs of ballistic damage. In removing the seats, check the weight sensors in both, they or their corresponding wiring may have taken a fragment.

In closure, I'm very glad you're okay OP, and I applaud your bravery in presenting your mistake to this eclectic bunch. Good Luck!

Well technically he had it pointed it in a relatively safe direction (from a potential people-harming standpoint) before pulling the trigger so I'd say the redundancy built in to the 4 main rules of gun safety prevailed

He did seem to have the gun cleared to the side. Looks like his mistake was after he put the mag back in his slide forward racked a round in. Could of been a fatality. Glad it was tragic and him shotting himself in the leg he won't 4get that the rest of his life

"Accidental" was the standard nomenclature for probably 50 years. Yes it is not correct based on current training but it still comes out of people even when they know better. He's been pretty clear about where the mistakes where and his involvement.

If Palmetto has my back I'd rather just go it alone.

Was at a range once when a dude blew a hole through the roof of the firing line with a large caliber.
honestly, I held back my opinion. I’m gonna give it to you guys and gals and it may not be popular, but needs to be said.

Op- you give gun owners a bad name, and are clearly not responsible enough to be trusted with big boy toys.

I don’t want to catch a ban over your stupid behavior, so I won’t say anything else.

eta: now that I got that out, I gotta give you credit for admitting it.
At least you got that part right, hope you get your truck sorted out.

When I was a kid, the neighbor was shot with a shotgun that was leaning against the wall behind the door. His brother came into the mobile home and slammed the door. The shotgun fell over and discharged and shot the brother sitting at the table.

Unless it’s a purpose built dumpster fire and not what really happened, maybe you shouldn’t own guns. You can claim experience all day but your first post would say otherwise.
