Not a new color, standard reddish brown. But a giant chunk of reddish brown at that.

Thanks! Happy with the space this far, here's some pics from a couple weeks ago. Still planning to pull the tables away from the wall about a foot and add more shelves and storage drawers in that area.

(ignore the roller coaster, my friend loaned it for me to build)

Not a bad idea, but I'll probably just stick with stacking these bins under the table.

Made it through the first tub last night, three more to go...

Sorry for posting so much, but this is exciting and I couldn't help but share. As I've said before, Lego ships have been one of my main interests since childhood, and there was one set in particular that evaded my collection. Well, this just arrived tonight:

    20200707_191823.jpg

Found an ad for the Skull's Eye Schooner with box and instructions below what most are asking nowadays for just the set without any extras.

    20200707_192123.jpg

Other than sun yellowing on the whites and grays and some general dust, the bricks look nearly brand new.

    20200707_193506.jpg

So yeah, sorting is on hold for a bit. Washing the parts tonight, peroxide baths tomorrow to fix the yellowed bricks, then I'll finally add this beast to my fleet!

    Thanks, I'm stoked.

That 918 is awesome. I always loved the look of classic space, but it was just before my time.

    Thanks!

This thing is glorious. I still can't believe the condition it's in for being nearly thirty years old.

And one next to the OG Barracuda:

    20200708_202018.jpg

Need to clear out some space and get an update with the entire fleet. Also want to come up with an updated version, similar to what Lego did with Barracuda Bay.

There are some scuffs on the bottom of the hull from being pushed around during play, and I had to clean a small bit of gunk off one of the sails. Beyond that, it's virtually pristine. The white bricks successfully de-yellowed, too. Looks almost like it was just opened for the first time.

The Mandalorian AT-ST is $40 at Target, I picked one up for the hell of it. Good reviews.

One of my favorite builds so far. Not only because of how it looks but how big and heavy the end product is as well

That was my first space set at age 10! For my 11th birthday I received the larger version, which was in perfect condition and I last saw it in my parent's basement when I was 19, and somehow it disappeared... :(
