Bought a house last July and have been steadily working on it inside and now out. Recently had the driveway widened by a former student of mine. They hauled out 12 yards of fill and left us as many of the stones as they could find as they went. So I've been building a stacked stone wall on the far side.

    IMG_20200614_180055.jpg

Also did a facelift on an old set of brick covered concrete front steps. I framed out right over the top and widened the stoop by a foot on either side.

Took our research boat out for the first trip of the year and visited the Florida Keys. Its weird not being in the Bahamas, but snorkeling is snorkeling (especially when comparing the two).

    Hope you enjoy!

Looks great. I see you are in FL. Vanilla Ice (Rob) is there for remodeling homes which shown on TV. I don't know if he is building during COVID. Last I heard that they are releasing new season in July 2020. I noticed on the news that FL is really bad at COVID because the number of people have gone up.

Yeah COVID-19 is a pain in ass down here. Not sure if the root cause is more people. There’s some controversy on the accuracy of the numbers because of inconsistencies in testing, but either way it’s a pain.

You can check the FL stats here: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/96dd742462124fa0b38ddedb9b25e429

I decided not go to FL for a vacation in June because of that reason. Maybe next year if all clear up by then.

Not much skilled involved but painted up 2 1/2 boxes of western red for my Victorian Carriage House preservation project.

Yeah, kinda neat how the string sloped like it did. It was all fun and games until I ran out of the nylon, had to go with a fiber type string that stretched much more than the nylon :frusty:.

Had to scramble with some knots to get them up off the floor again:facepalm:

Concept is great; love it. My suggestion would be a little more definition of the hexagonal cells but not to much. If you have ever looked a hive of bees (or are those wasps?) that the critters are not aligned but are crawling in every which direction, even crawling on top of others. Chaos describes a beehive pretty accurately.

    Feel free to ignore me!

Finally getting around to learning fusion CAM, now the greatest finish, but not bad for testing feeds and speeds.
