It wouldn’t hurt to go straight to battery just to troubleshoot. If it solves the problem your good, if not, then it probably is the antenna or cable issue.

It's the exact wire I had my CB on. Just snipped off the CB plug and splices GMRS in. I'll still try straight to the battery. I'm not hugely hopeful though because I plugged that crappy little antenna the radio comes with and it the interference was gone.

Check your hardline to the compressor on right side by battery tray. If it leaking or any hoses are worn you might need to swap out.

Ha ha. My four handhelds have slowly disappeared over the years one by one. This new comms replacement is a couple weeks old and still sitting in the box.

Although, I did open it to look at it.

And because I love making it seem like I don't have a freaking clue what I'm doing: my shackles are on backwards. Best part? I had them right initially, didn't think it looked right and flipped them around. At least it's fairly easy to flip them back. I should just sell my tools, man!

Oh yes. Told you I was worn out. I should have quit working a while before I actually did. I guess it's good I realized it. I've driven the truck a few hundred miles since then and it seems fine. I'll be flipping them around tomorrow. Womp womp.
