    I hear ya. I had to replace my heaters this last year up on the mtn. He have fuel oil heaters, the old ones lasted since I was kid.

    the current unit is propane furnace and central air...it doesn’t get cold enough here to justify gas heat, so I’m spending a little extra to switch it up. It’s right at 23 years old and starting to leak Freon, not worth wasting money patching it up to keep it running another year or two.

    Been there. Our house sits above 5k’ so we are literally sitting on the side of the second tallest mtn right in the ridge.
    I got one of those small units that cools down the den, but it really isn’t too bad up there.
